Volt places his own warm, broad hand on top of Eddie’s. His fingers curl around it, and Eddie feels them trembling slightly.
“Thank you,” Volt whispers, his voice hoarse.
Then the dam breaks.
Tears stream down Volt’s face, silently at first but then punctuated by soft sounds that sound like stifled hiccups.’
