It was loud and it was nothing, not when death was within his reach as wind whispered sweet dreams into his ear. The death was peace and the only peace he could find was right in the Lady Death's loving arms.

Doc never expected his machine to work, not when half od his Hivemind was already deep asleep and the rest was delusional from insomnia. It started like it should have, but the black cloud of void coming from the inside turned out to be the last of the problems that came with his invention.
Xisuma definitely won't be happy about the intruder on his server.-

Summary
The first time it happened, Xisuma had been re-sorting some of his shulker boxes. He’d been in the middle of carrying a few of them across his storage room when he heard it.
“I- don’t know if anyone can hear me, but I need help!” A frantic, twenty-something sounding voice spoke from within X’s head.
X jolted at the sudden noise, the boxes he was carrying tumbling from his hands. For a moment, he wasn’t sure what he was supposed to do. It had been… decades since someone had recognised him as a god, and even longer since someone had prayed to him.
AKA- 5 times Xisuma helped Grian without revealing his identity, and one time he actually told Grian who he was.

In a moment that shatters his whole world, Xisuma learns that he has a time limit upon his head, a terminal illness that is eating away at his body. It is now up to him to deal with the repercussions and figure out how to handle his life and how to tell those he loves that he is dying. He is dying and he needs the help, but he does not know how to ask, only to give it to others.

Another obstacle cleared. He looped back around, brain so focused he didn't notice the wraps around his ankles coming loose, whipping like flags in the wind. He allowed himself height, spreading his wings to the fullest in the open sky, projecting massive shadows onto the ground below.
"Go 'round again!" Came Jimmy from the ground and Grian permitted a single pant before diving to restart his weave, counting the seconds in his head. He would beat his best.
Left. Right. Up. And down. Don't get caught. Don't touch the wood. Slip. Float like a feather but have the strength of a bull. Faster. Faster or they'll catch you, get caught and you're dead.

Grian was a soldier, he did as he was told. Trained hard each and every day despite the fatigue. Anything to defeat the cruel evil of the Watchers, but having to kill...to harm...what did that mean for his own sanity? What did that mean for his health? What did that mean for the war that waged mercilessly around him?

Summary
The human was in a cell at the end of the hall. He was laying on the floor in an uncomfortable-seeming position, half slumped over the bench that Impulse assumed was supposed to serve as his bed. He was shivering weakly, one hand stretched out above his head, reaching for nothing. Minus the shivering, he was completely still. Impulse watched him for a minute, but he didn’t move. He… didn’t seem like a threat. He was actually very pathetic, and looked like his shallow, fast breathing could stop at any second.
Impulse knew better than to try to sympathise with him though. He knew if the human was in better physical condition, he’d probably be throwing himself at the bars, shouting insults and threats. Impulse shuddered. He just needed to find Jellie, and then he could leave this place.

Grian felt his throat tighten, "My house is loud." He mumbled, taking another sip of tea. It was very very pleasantly warm going down his throat and settling in his stomach. Very pleasant.
"Loud?"
Grian didn't like this seat. He...he...
Grian sniffed and slipped out, looking up at Xisuma with massive blue eyes, "Can I have a hug?"
He wanted a hug. So so so so so so badly. He wanted a hug. He wanted so much.
He could see Xisuma startle, just a little, before lowering his mug to the table and opening up his arms, "Yeah, yes of course...c'mere."
Grian wasted no time and crawled into the man's lap, curling into the tightest ball that he possibly could and tucking his head under Xisuma's chin.
He felt tiny.
