Vanessa fixes him with a look. Wade turns around to stare at him.

They absolutely had a beautiful disaster Thanksgiving around their big table. When Ness was pregnant she and Wade got those horrible turkey basting couples’ shirts and wore them. Everyone in the family got terrible Christmas sweaters. Wade made Nate and Hope watch the Star Wars Holiday Special. There were many Golden Girls ornaments on their tree. Wade hums at Russel’s question - Wade doesn’t think that Logan would be opposed to being interviewed, but he doesn’t think anyone who’s lived through a war (let alone however fucking many Logan has lived through) really wants to talk about it, “Dunno, kid. His version of history might not even be the same as ours, what with the whole me kidnapping him from another universe thing.”
“Oh, I didn’t think about that. Hey, have you considered going to therapy for all of the shit that’s wrong with your head, Wade?” Russel condescends, and Wade laughs outright at that.

Summary
Cable was quite possibly the alpha-est alpha who’d ever alpha’d. On hindsight, it was probably why Wade had committed so much of his personal funds towards murdering him off the face of the planet. Protect the kid, sure, but hiring on Peter-and-friends to do a job that Wade had almost managed by himself when unarmed and dying of cancer was overkill. Cool, but a bit much. Kind of like deep-fried french toast.
“It’s not an omega thing,” Wade said, as he quietly screwed the suppressor onto a custom MK12 rifle.
“Yeah right.” Russell didn’t sound convinced over the phone. “Yukio said maybe you should get therapy.”

The sky shimmered as the sun peaked out over the spiked skyline, glinting off the glass and rainbowing a varying spray of blues, yellows, oranges, and pinks on the clouds.
It was a beautiful sight.
Peter groaned miserably.
“F***,” Clint hissed as he wrapped another one of Peter’s many wounds in haphazard gauze.
As it was, Clint was the least injured of them, and he was covered in bandages and bruises. Sure, some of those he had started with, but he was hardly in any shape to be playing field nurse.
Peter used his good leg to kick Clint away, “Go help Daredevil,” his breath hitches as Clint tapes down the edge of his makeshift bandage, “He doesn’t have a healing factor. I do. Leave. Me. Alone.”
“Dammit,” Clint growls slapping at Peter’s ankle, “You’re going to bleed out- Stop- Stop kicking me!!”
