Now seventeen and overhearing a conversation to free said villains, Tommy would say he's justified in feeling a little conflicted.
Was he willing to help set loose three dangerous people? (Obviously, who do you take him for?)
Did he really want to see his brother again? (He wished his answer wasn't such a clear yes.)

Corbeau had always enjoyed a good puzzle. Whether it be jigsaw, a word game, or even a nice sudoku to do before bed, he would often find himself engaging with such frivolities. Of course, that meant it was only natural when a living, breathing puzzle landed directly in his lap, he had to try figuring it out.

Tommy and Tubbo used to believe that it was just them and their love of space and that was all they needed. They thought that their friendship was impenetrable, that nothing could break through the steel walls surrounding their bounded hearts, hiding them away from any harm. They never anticipated that they would be their own downfall.
Never once did those two boys think that the reason their friendship would crumble would be because of themselves. They discussed the future, but never foresaw that they had different plans for how this story would end. They made two different plot lines: neither of them would see it through.

Theseus frowned. It had been a while since he had. Usually, on most days, he would haul himself in his chamber. He halfheartedly shrugged, murmuring, “Used too.”
“Did you enjoy it?”
“I did,” Theseus replied. His gaze turned to Ranboo, inclining his head. “Do you?”
Ranboo shook his head. “No, I don’t.”
Theseus offered, “Do you wish to learn?”
Ranboo pondered before shaking his head. “No. I do not need to.”
“But do you wish to?” Theseus pressed, his tone firm and unwavering, not taken lightly at his question being ignored. A heavy pause hung between them. Ranboo’s gaze dropped to his hands, maneuvering them, contemplating with furrowed brows. He lifted his gaze to meet Theseus’, searching for something. He had found it shortly, a newfound glint within his gaze. And, finally, with a deep breath, he nodded, “I do,” Ranboo spoke, soft and true.
…
Or, The royal family replaces him with Ranboo so Theseus found it reasonable to replace them with Ranboo, too. (Spoiler: They did not like that.)
