“But he hates us,” Tubbo murmurs, “He won’t help us, and last time we tried--” he shot me point-blank with a lit firework “--he betrayed us, he helped Wilbur blow up the country.” He’s scared (he’s a coward). He should be willing to die for his nation (and he is) but he’s only got one life left and he’s TERRIFIED and the scars still burn and crack.

His friend is no longer entirely Sam. In his new exoskeleton, he is Warden. He wields Warden’s Will and Warden’s Mercy, and there’s something new and filmy covering his eyes. “You know,” says Quackity, “I never thought you’d end up as a cop.” Q has been detained before. He’s known a lot of guards.
“Does it bother you?” asks Sam with gloomy concern. “Do you want to try and…rehabilitate him?”
“No, and I’ve made that clear.” He scowls, leaning over the desk. “I want him dead.”
“But he’s locked up. He’s trapped, jailed, helpless, weak. He’s not a threat anymore.”
“No, Sam.” Quackity removes his helmet, shakes out his hair so that it falls to cover his scar. “Even from within the prison, he still has power. He’s controlling you, he’s changing you. He’s getting in your head - how can you not see this?”
“I haven’t changed.” He has a little brass clock on a string and he spins it around his finger. “If you think I have, then maybe you didn’t know me as well as you thought you did.”

Summary
“He’s gone,” Dream spoke easily, his wrapped hands waving off Tecnoblade’s harsh words. “He’s been missing for days. I visit him to check in on him, since I care about him, and he just disappeared. His things are gone, everything is out of order. I didn’t find a body, so it looks like he packed up and ditched. It’s okay, though, I’ll find him, I always do.”
The words gave Technoblade an icy feeling in his chest. The way Dream punctuated the last sentence made him feel like something was going on, and it wasn't something good. He wasn’t stupid like Tubbo (or, naive, rather) and he didn’t blindly follow a tyrant like the rest of the idiots in L’Manberg. He was his own person.
For a good week, things have been disappearing from Technoblade's house. With everyone living their own life, and Dream's clutch on his land tightening, Techno finds himself slowly piecing together what intruder has gotten into his house, and what they want exactly.Series

Summary
Tubbo kneels on the polished blackstone floor and prays it won’t hurt too much. He smiles, keeps smiling. He’s done everything he can to make this okay for Tommy. He closes his eyes, but he’s still aware of his best friend’s desperate sobs, and Dream’s eerie, catlike silence as he stalks his victim. He hopes Dream will kill him with an arrow or even a sword. An axe is such a brutal, barbaric weapon to use on a person.

Dream reaches up to his mask and spins it thirty degrees. “I’ve had Tommy locked away for everyone’s safety. He can’t have visitors just yet, as he’s still half-crazed.”
Quackity’s tear ducts sting. “Leave my house.”
