    Summary

    Sky feels guilty. Ever since the end of his adventure, he had known he had fucked up. But it was only after he had met his future reincarnations that he realized just how much he had failed. Even so, he does his best to enjoy his new friends' company, knowing that it can't last forever. Not after they figure out what he's done.

    Wild is scared. He will never admit it, but he is the most terrified of his new friends - his new brothers - learning just how badly he failed. He is scared of them all learning how he died and left his best friend and his world to fend for themselves. He is scared of being shunned, of being thought of as any less of a hero than everyone else is.

    And unbeknownst to our heroes, a darkness lurks, its millennia-old bitterness festering for just a little more, but they're patient. They can wait for the opportune moment where just one light push will make it all worth it. It has been ready for this moment for a long, long time. There is someone who wronged them, sent them spiraling into the most hellish existence possible.

    They are going the watch the Chosen Hero of Hylia break, and they'll be wearing a smile.

    Started because of SkSwHD, and now it's got plot.

    Twilight stiffened, knowing that some of the others didn't know that secret.

    Time took a step in front of Twi. "No."

    "Why not? Scared he won't win? Should have more faith in your little puppy. Isn't that what she called you Twilight, puppy~?"

    Twilight was radiating anger from his body.

    "This is going to be fun."

    AKA: Dark tries to use Twilight's body to kill the other heroes. A special someone comes to help, but what needs to be done may come with a cost no one is ready to pay.

    A high-pitched yell was its only warning before a portal opened two meters above the ground and nine hylian bodies fell out of it.

    Twilight didn't respond, not daring to retaliate or reply in any way.

    "You practically BEGGED me to help you." Dark continued, his degrading tone dripping with intent to harm him with whatever words he could. "What pathetic lovesick garbage you were, pining for a woman who abandoned you."

    Dark's words hurt far more than any physical pain that he could have bestowed on the wolf.

    "I could abandon you at any moment as well, and it wouldn't affect me or my plans in the slightest."

    She left without resolving things between them. She left the Hero of Twilight to pick up the pieces of his shattered heart. But when a familiar darkness gives him the chance to see her again, a chance to mend and bridge the rift between them?

    How could he possibly refuse?
