The fallen angel has to watch helplessly as her former sisters in arms, with whom she served for so long, act completely out of their minds and cause a hellish massacre. The liquid turned him into a rat mutant and the turtle eggs into mutant turtle eggs. Forced to take shelter in the sewers, Yoshi decided to change his name to Splinter and take care of the unborn turtle children. A few years later, his oldest son was killed by a falling bookshelf. Ashamed, Splinter raised his remaining three sons without ever telling them of their late brother. When his youngest son is born and seems to see someone who isn't there, Splinter assumes it is an imaginary friend. He never imagined that it was the ghost of his dead oldest son.
