When she meets J, they really couldn't be more different, right? That's all Ava sees on the surface, really.

Summary
What remains after the absolute end? Astonishingly, a lot. Copper-9, those who lived on it, and specifically the heroes who saved it all, survived and went along with their existence, now better and more prosperous than ever. But for one drone, survival is not a blessing; it's an uncertain, ambiguous ball of contempt the universe might as well be trying to crush her with. Alone, trapped on the planet and with her former squadmates now certainly out for her life, even Serial Designation J's usual workaholic attitude starts to wane in the face of everything weighing down on her.
Meanwhile, a certain golden-retriever coded disassembler stumbles upon his former boss in a less than enviable state during a routine outing and decides that she deserves a happy ending as much as the rest of them. After all, with Cyn gone and nobody left to control them, what is there to stop them from finding forgiveness and healing?
Heaps of trauma, miscommunication, and years of self-conditioning? Sure, they might be miiiiinor obstacles, but N's sure they can figure out something... together!

Beaten and battered, she had no reason to go on, but she can't seem to bring herself to end her own life. So, her best option is to wait for her demise, passing the time through any means necessary, even if ultimately pointless. She could only hope that the world would have mercy on her tormented machinery. Though, it didn't occur to her that her own death may be far out of her reach.

After the Solver was absorbed by Uzi they had tied up all loose ends after going back to their lives. Except for a few. J while having moved into the bunker with everyone else having no where else to go, had been acting weird lately according to her old squamates. Not wanting her to grow more distant from them N, V and Uzi continue to invite and include her in activities and events however it didn't seem to work so well. At least not until the worst of the aftermath on Js end starts to show due to her self isolation. Maybe now she will come to realize her and her old squamates as well as a short emo drone aren't that different.
Note and warning: This fic contains some heavy things while being a slice of life fic. All chapters will be tagged with any heavy content and can be skipped if you chose to read anyways.
