    Phil and Ranboo are just chillin' in Techno's house when a tiny feral version of Tommy falls from the sky. Which shouldn't be possible because, according to Ranboo, Tommy died in prison. He's got weird armor, weirder weapons, he just tried to stab Phil, and- oh, okay, he blasted a hole in the wall. Lovely.

    None of these people know what they're doing, and the child just brings more angst, fluff, and shenanigans than anyone thinks is possible while also kickstarting a mass emotional healing arc that no one knew they needed.

He had no-one else. He’d pushed everyone else away. Bumblebee had been all he’d needed, and suddenly Bumblebee was gone, and it was cold, and dark, and late, and he was tired, and -

    Tommy used to be Fire Ant, a Logsted vigilante. His best friend & partner in crime was Bumblebee, another Logsted vigilante. They never missed a patrol, ever - until one day Bumblebee disappeared.
    It'd been two years since then. Tommy had adjusted to civillian life. He'd gotten a job, escaped the foster system, found a place to live - he was happy, even if sometimes he still yearned for the rooftops.
    Then he got held hostage by a supervillain on his way home from work, and his life changed for the better.

He hovers, suspended in the pure weightlessness of his leap, until gravity and time catch up to him and the opposite roof rises up towards him at alarming speeds. He also forms a middle finger and hopes the police car in the alleyway beneath him sees it—just for kicks, y’know.

    He braces himself, and the impact is jarring but not injurious. He hits the ground running, and Tommy keeps fucking running.

    The police, still in the alleyway he'd just hopped, back out slowly, sirens wailing, to try and find him another way. They won’t catch him. They never do. Fuckin' losers, if you ask him.

Tommy didn't know when he let everyone believe that he was just a poor little boy, abandoned by his family and left in the hands of a manipulative man who never had the guts to even show his face. Tommy didn't know when he let them believe that he could be pushed around by a man so pathetic that he had to wear a mask, just to separate himself from his crimes and misdeeds; a man who wore a mask just so he could make himself feel more like a god and less of what he actually was: a disgusting, pathetic, weakling of a man who took joy in stroking his ego by manipulating helpless children.

    Tommy didn't know when he let everyone think he was so weak.

    But what Tommy did know, however, was that he was sick of it.
