Summary
As part of the Galra empire, the Paladins struggle to find each other and become the heroes they were meant to be. But whoever changed their fates has only one goal—that without their humanity, they'll fail.
While training with the Blades, Keith (full Galra) has troubling dreams of a life lived on a strange planet. He struggles with his training, and he can't push away the thought that time is running out—on what, he can't say. Hunk and Lance are new recruits for the Galra empire, but following orders has never come easily to Lance. When he's put on Thace's squad, Lance suspects his commander knows a secret, and he's determined to find it, even if it means sneaking his way into a top-secret mission and breaking more rules than Lance can count. Pidge was excited to join her father and Shiro on the Kerberos mission, but when it goes disastrously wrong and they're captured by Galra, she finds herself isolated and a prisoner. While the Galra experiment on them, Pidge and Shiro find an unlikely ally in Keith. Together, the Paladins will have to rediscover their destiny to save the universe before whoever tampered with their destinies can stop them.

Summary
Contrary to popular belief, Lance McClain was not an idiot. The reputation he had incurred stating otherwise is his own damn fault, really, surrounding himself with geniuses and prodigies.
Regardless, that belief was fine by him, considering his weapons of choice both in battle and diplomacy required a more subtle approach. Nobody shot at a sniper in the shadows, and nobody's defenses rose at a negotiator who made you feel at ease.
Because that was the thing. If you asked any member of the team themselves, or the Coalition leaders they interacted with, Lance was the brightest of the bunch.
That's not him inflating his ego, either. The last meeting they had with a planet's leaders, they had literally cried while shaking his hand profusely and saying as much.
(To be fair, they had previously been left with Pidge. That could break a man.)
Or: Lance, Team Voltron, and the years after the battle is won.

Lance hadn’t meant to end up here. His parents probably hadn’t meant to meet Ulaz either. But here he was sat across from his Galra Dad? Parent? Relative? He still was unclear on how Ulaz came into how he was born but he was too scared to ask the stoic Galra and mortified to ask his parents which one of them got busy with an alien.
One thing was certain; his teeth were a little too sharp to be a human and his body, at the ripe age of twenty-six, was ending some weird and inexplicable Galra puberty. That left him slightly too tall to match the lanky McClain clan (and other strange and unspeakable changes like kind of pointy ears or a tail that Lance preferred to keep wrapped up under his pants, most concerning about this was that Ulaz did not appear to have one).
[tldr: Lance is half-galra, meets Keith and then Shiro and learns about his culture and family along the way]

Summary
Keith Kogane has grown up with the Blade of Marmora. Kolivan is like a father figure to him, Thace and Ulaz are like uncles to him, and he's lived with his mother his entire life. When his mother goes missing in action, he's told she's dead. Keith knows she's alive, though.
After regretfully running away from the only place he's known as home, he goes on a search for his mother. He soon finds one of his uncles after infiltrating a Galra ship, he finds himself helping a human find his way to Earth, a place he's only dreamed of.
Keith finds himself traveling across the galaxy making a name for himself, all while trying to keep the secret of his Galra heritage a secret, playing as another victim of the Galra Empire and trying to fit in with the other humans, because these humans may be his only hope of finding his mother.

Summary
As they broke into the ship, sliding quietly along a shockingly understaffed storage deck, no one thought to grab Lance. To touch base, maybe mention that the priority was the prisoners of higher standing with bigger pockets, which required a level of secrecy and nonchalance. And this requirement would need him to contain his emotions throughout the mission, even if his teammates were to fall or get injured. Even if he found Keith and wasn’t pleased with his treatment. He would need to remain calm. The monarchs were the priority.
This lack of forethought led to what is considered one of the worst intergalactic shipwrecks of all time. After all, Keith Kogane was always Lance’s first priority.

After Keith is abducted, Lance fights to get on a Blades mission to break into a Galran ship imprisoning hundreds. He keeps his own mission to himself. Step 1: follow orders until he can’t. Step 2: find Keith in the prison and break him out. Step 3: kill anything that slows him down.

Closing his eyes, Keith tries to dig up the fading links he had with either lion, reaching for them and their warmth and safety. He was never sure how far a lion could reach their paladin, but for all he knew, they could be nearby. Would they still sense him despite not being their paladin anymore?
Thirty minutes have passed and he felt… nothing. Either they're too far, or he's severed the link between them for good. He has eleven hours of oxygen left.
This can't be the end, right?
After an explosion sends Keith floating in the middle of space with no help, he's left on the balance of life or death with no one to help him. Will the Blade of Marmora come for him, or will he be picked up by a Galra ship? Will he be lucky enough to seek the help of his former team?

“And how,” Keith says, drawing Lance out of his thoughts, “would you know if I’m single?”
The noise that falls out of Lance’s mouth is a mix between a snort and a scoff, and it comes totally unbidden. Two years ago, he would’ve been mortified to be caught making such an unattractive sound in Keith’s company. But, two years ago, he thought he and Keith were becoming something.
And approximately ten months ago, when they fell into bed together, he was certain they would. He’d asked, even. Tangled up in bedsheets, heart full and warm and satisfied, he’d asked Keith if they were something.
The next day, when he woke up alone with a hastily-written sticky note on the bathroom mirror and an alert in the group that the Blade had summoned Keith in the middle of the night, Lance got his answer.
He’d been mistaken, obviously.
