Summary
A few months after the events of sword and shield, no one has seen hide or hair of the two legendaries, and Hop is settling into his new role as professor's assistant. That is, until Zacian and Zamazenta suddenly appear one day and insist that he become their trainer. To have not one, but two of the legendary heroes of Galar trust him enough to be their trainer is mind-blowing, and Hop vows to be the best he can be for them and the rest of his team. He may have failed before (over, and over, and over-) with some of the challenges in his life, but he swears he'll do everything he can to become the trainer they deserve.
...And he also may have neglected to tell anyone else that this has happened.

The thing is that everyone around him went on in life and found a path of their own yet he was left behind not knowing what he really wanted to do.

Summary
What if instead of becoming a professor, Hop became a detective?
The story is exactly the same as the main game, except that Hop became a detective instead of a pokemon professor. Also the events in the DLCs after the main game are probably going to be different as well. There's also a time skip from the end of the main story, to current Hop.Mature rating because swearing, violence, blood, and death.
Excerpt from chapter 4:“I’m fine,” Hop called out.
“I’m taking you to the hospital whether you want me or not.” Said Officer Jenny.
