    "What in the..." Leo's crouched position allowed him to take a look at his shell, and he covered his mouth in shock. "Your shell..."

    "It's not as bad as it looks," Leo grunted, his expression telling otherwise.

    "Liar," Raph said in a sing-song voice- holding tighter onto Mikey and Donnie when he spotted his shell. "...Ah, damn. Your shells look like those Picasso paintings."

    "As if your shell is very pretty at the moment." Donnie huffed. And cringed at the sight of Mikey's eyes. "Dude." 

    "Mhhfff." If he said something, it was muffled by Raph's shoulder.

    "Hey- uhm. Turtle dudes?" The four glanced up when they heard one of the humans who helped Splinter speak, awkwardly rubbing the back of their neck. "You need a hospital- a vet? Those injuries can't be good."

    A full year passed since the recovery and rehabilitation of the turtles and New York. Weirdly enough the residents of New York were more accepting of the mutants and various yokai roaming the streets. The states were even considering moving forward with citizenship for the honorable deeds that the creatures performed for the human race during those trying times. Although with the new state of New York, crime was not decreased in the slightest, only proving to increase from the numerous new Yokai threats.

    All this combined led to this very bizarre situation Mikey now found himself in.

    Basically, a Mikey-centric story with a cross-over twist. Mikey is a little bean in this story since he is my favorite! I tried my hardest to portray the turtles close to their tv personalities, but I added my own flair. I have not watched the 2012 series since I was a little tot, so I am going off my imagination for some parts. This story was inspired by Vanilla Vengeance's Mystic Malfunction. It's a good read! Not all chapters will have cover art, but some will. Enjoy!

    “They’ll think that we cloned ourselves,” Donnie mumbled. “Like Dolly the sheep.”

    “And Sonic,” Raph added.

    Michelangelo tilted his head. “The hedgehog?”

    “No, the fucking honey badger,” Raphael scoffed. “Dumbass.”

    “Your ass is dumb,” Michelangelo said, sticking out his tongue. “And flat.”

    “You motherfucker – ”

    Leonardo held up a hand. “You two can both be dumbasses once we’re back in our dimension, but for now, cool it. We’re on a mission. Act like it.”

    Raphael pulled a face, but they both quieted down. Ooh. Leo would have to steal that trick. Maybe it’d work better than the tears that he usually resorted to when the guys got like this. Not that it worked very well.

    After the events of “A Big Blowout”, the turtles agree to assist Bishop in cleansing the city of what’s left of Kraang chemicals and tech before any unsuspecting humans can stumble upon it. Along the way, they come upon a hidden base that isn’t as empty as it should have been, and obviously, battle ensues.

    Other than Donnie getting knocked into a table of the Kraangs’ latest experiment, it goes without incident, and the brothers return to the lair, mission successful! Eager to examine his alien prizes before handing them over to the Utrom, Donnie disappears into his lab, and his brothers head to bed. Everything is normal…

    …Until it isn’t.

    Screams awaken the lair, and frantic brothers follow them, horrified to find an infant Donatello sobbing his heart out on the lab floor.

    Several hours later, Bishop reports that they might be able to reverse the change, but there will be no way to return the lost memories. And so, the brothers are faced with a tough choice.

    Introduce a stranger, or raise a brother.

Not to mention Leo returned with a litany of mental and physical scars that could take forever to heal, but his family doesn’t have that much time to save him. With the possibility of major threats like the Kraang rising again, Leo uses his newfound abilities to eliminate potential foes before they’ve even taken root. He will do whatever it takes to keep his family safe. After all, their lives are worth far more than any evil the universe could muster up.
