The absence of the familiar comfort is deeply felt, but it's hard to find a safe place to do it on the road. By himself, he could clear out a burrow somewhere and ward the doors, but he can't just wander off on his own anymore. For all that being with the Chain affords him a level of safety he's never experienced before, it also means hiding things.

Summary
Just a home for October's whumpy one-shots. I'm EXPECTING to finish days 4, 14 and 27 on time but who knows? Maybe I'll surprise myself and do more. Warnings will be in tags and notes but... it is whumptober so expect a lot of blood and injury and angst.
(edit: my timeline has FAILED. I still have every intention of writing these fics but I cannot guarantee when this will be as it is Crunch Time with my dissertation and I also hope to sleep between now and Christmas. Sorry.)
