Grian offers Scar companionship. Scar offers Grian money. Grian offers Scar an ear to listen. Scar offers Grian free food and board. Grian offers Scar a shoulder to cry on. Scar offers Grian a peek into a life that was a far cry from his own. Their arrangement, while unusual, was a matter of convenience. And with the lives they both led, that's how it was supposed to stay. They didn't need anything more than the surface level companionship that the two had grown accustomed to. They were more than happy to play the parts they'd been assigned, until their time was up.

The morning wind breezed through Gem’s hair, her long redhaired curls flowing freely. Her matte green luggage trailed behind her, the plastic wheels screeching every few seconds or so on the hard concrete floor. This was her first day of college in Hermit College and she was not going to let her day get ruined for some dumb reason.
Room 607, that number kept repeating in her head. She had hoped that her roommates were at least normal. She really didn't want to room with a weird person or an asshole. But, whoever her roommate may be, she hopes that she'll grow attached.
The rather busy hallway kept Gem’s mind at bay. Comforted by the fact she's not the only one stressed out. Truth be told — she was nervous. College had been gnawing at her, unsure if she picked the right course. She loved pre-med, but has heard less than… satisfactory comments. She loves helping people, so she thought being a pre-med student was a good idea.

So when the Hermits collectively started praying to Xelqua and Grian started to gain a lot of Watcher magic, it put a real damper on his mood, health, self-perception and his relationships. With Mumbo gone off-world, it was now up to Scar, Pearl and Xisuma to worry about him – if Grian would let them. But Grian was nothing if not stubborn. He’d get through this alone, right?

When Scar Goodtimes, the “last honorable pirate” and captain of The Flying Jellie, finds one of these sea monsters lying amongst the wreckage of a ship, he decides the best course of action is to bring him aboard, despite the caution his husband and first mate, Mumbo, urges him to take. His small crew soon learns that the man they rescued—a siren named Grian—had been pulled from the sea and taken miles from any semblance of home by a group of cryptid hunters. Now, on another foreign deck, he is presented with a choice: they could throw him back into the sea so he can try and make it back to his pod, or they could find him a transformation amulet, and he can join them as they explore the world, plunder the seven seas, and live a life of adventure and romance.

After a war between the Fey and the humans, terms of peace are drawn, and Princess Ariana of the Human Realm is set to be engaged to the King of the Dark Fey Court, Scar Goodtimes.
There are at least a dozen reasons why this is a bad idea.
Firstly, Grian hasn't been Ariana in a long time, but he isn't about to tell the terrifying King that. Then, there's the issue of Scar and his current romantic partner, one Mumbo Jumbo, who had been in a relationship with Ariana many years ago. Now, the three of them are tangled up in a mess of relationship issues that they can't solve alone. Summary
Grian has a lot on their plate. They're working towards an architecture degree during the night, and during the day they have a job, hobbies, and a friend group they try their best to keep up with. And on top of all that, they're also a vigilante in what little time they have in between. They're on the run from law enforcement and a mysterious cult, all while their superhero rival seems obsessed with them.
Scar is trying his best. Being wheelchair-bound isn't the most common experience as a superhero, and he has lofty dreams of reforming the villains the agency is arresting. However, he's seen as young and inexperienced, still in college working towards becoming a veterinarian. He intends on showing everyone his dreams can be real, and he sees the perfect vigilante to reform for the project.
These stories, as well as many others in Hermit City, are intertwined.

So far, every previous session has been a blast. But things become complicated at the end of double life when Scott realizes that his boyfriend in the real world went out and got a whole other boyfriend during the game. All while having no memory of him.
