Summary
The last Installment of the Once and Future Alien series. Supergirl killed Morgan Edge on tv and the world is left to grapple with what that means. And poking at Superhero legality leads straight to the dirty laundry of world governments across the world. Its a bad day to be anyone in any position of power. Through all the chaos lines are being drawn and long needed arguments had. It would be helpful if Lena wasn't dealing with a slight identity crisis now that she has her memories from a different life in her head. Also Gwen would like everyone to know she is a workers rights lawyer not whatever it is they think her law degree is. Arthur, Merlin, Alex and the rest of the DEO no longer remember what sleep feels like. Someone has finally forced Kara to see a therapist though, so there may be hope.

Bruce finds out that a rival company plans to release a toy line of the Justice League. Said rival company is named LexCorp and a humanitarian's worst nightmare and there’s no way he will let the League be attached to people as abhorrent as that. So he quickly has all the superhero names trademarked. The problem? Now he actually has to use the JL and its assorted heroes in commerce somehow or risk losing the trademark. Hence, Wayne Enterprises launching a toy line.
Which would be totally fine if the Justice League actually knew that Bruce Wayne and Batman are the same person... As it is, they're not pleased that this bimbo billionaire is profiting off of them. They demand to get a say in the matter (also, why is the Superman action figure arguably the hottest piece of plastic ever seen, what the fuck?).

Summary
This series contains all the stories I've written about Superman: Red & Blue, Issue #1! That story is the first of an anthology, which expounds upon Clark's and Bruce's time in Lubania that was explored in World's Finest #192 - 193. I will note that I did cut the entire "Steelman and Cowlman" thing because it didn't make sense with the story I am telling. A few other things were changed as well, namely cut scenes being added, Clark's and Bruce's escape being much more difficult (particularly for Clark), the time period being more modern (it's changed from the Cold War to an non-specific political issue), etc. Anything changed with be more or less explained in each story.
A basic understanding of the plot of the three comics mentioned above (Superman and Batman were captured in the country of Lubania and tortured + forced into labor, they eventually escaped) is all you need to understand the stories. Additionally, each story should make sense on its own! Please remember that these stories deal with heavy themes, but each are properly tagged and warned for.

Superman shot down to the mountain of rubble that had begun to shift, carefully pulling away car-sized hunks of stone. Between the grinding of the stones against each other, Clark heard sniffling. “You alright, there Superboy?”
A small voice called back, “I’m stuck.”
Clark bristled in shock. “Kon?”
The boy looking up at him with grey eyes was no more than seven or eight years old. There was dust in his black hair, and he was practically drowning in a Kryptonian suit under a spiked leather jacket. The sleeve had been pinned under a stone.
One minute, Kon is seventeen, the next, he's seven. Clark grapples with the guilt of wanting more time.
