    The words were spoken calmly, while Bucky kept his eyes locked onto the gangly form prostrate in the dirt outside. When he’d spotted it in a casual pass of the window, he’d experienced shock for all of half a second before he’d quickly transitioned into acceptance and wariness.

    He stepped back from the window as Steve rushed up, a damp blue dish towel in his hands. Steve’s eyes immediately narrowed in on the form that was face down by the tomato plants. It was a good sign that Bucky wasn’t hallucinating, and a bad sign in that it meant the corpse in the garden was real.

    Steve gave Bucky a look, the corners of his mouth sternly downturned.

    “I didn’t put it there,” Bucky said, just in case that was in question.

Anthony is well known for taking pleasure in a multitude of lovers; surely Loki can present a solution that is mutually satisfactory?     Except when said detail led him to a Thor with TWO natural eyes, an adoptive father conveniently falling into a magical coma to let him deal with the shitty foreign policy – with an impending war, had he forgotten? – and a still-living mother who had always been too perceptive for her own good. Bloody witches.

    “Iron Man,” Loki stated—questioned, more like, by the tone—turning around to face him, although his gaze was oddly a few degrees off of Tony, his hands raised in a defensive gesture. “Anthony Stark,” he stated, and this time Tony noticed that his voice sounded suspiciously more like a dry rasp, as if he hadn’t used it in months.

    Except for screaming, probably, that is, the part of his brain still recovering from The Cave supplied merrily.

    “In the flesh,” Tony replied, trying to keep himself unfazed. The whole starved look was probably an illusion anyway, he told himself.
     
    Tony was pretty sure he heard Loki mutter a resigned “So this is how I die, then,” to himself.

    All right, this was giving off some solid horrible vibes, and not in the A Feral Demigod of Evil and Trickery is Going To Kill Me sense, either.


    Or: A broken "hero", a shattered "villain", and the pain, hope and parallels in between.

He forces them to live at the Avengers Compound, to keep an eye on them. But at that same compound lives Loki, always looking for ways to get under Stark's skin.

    Because of the dangers of Stark's occupation, Rowan is unexpectedly thrown into the company of Loki, and the two need to find a way to navigate their differences (and several near death predicaments) if they want to survive in the universe.
