Summary
Optimus had proved to be a worthy opponent time and time again. He always sought to do his best to equal his rival. But now, he didn’t even have to try. Multiple slashes on his torso were oozing obscenely, his mask was smashed open, revealing his pink-stained snarl. He barely felt any of the pain. His sorrow and fear, his weariness were diluting out of his processor. Instead, anger combusted in his lines; the ember that had festered silently beneath the surface of his mind was turning into a frighteningly bright furnace. And beneath it all, there was the tiniest hint of ecstasy and shame that fused into a dizzying blend as his frame moved against its own screaming reproach.

In a crude moment of lost control, Optimus finds himself caught between what he truly wants and what must be done. Megatron is more than willing to help him make his choice.

Leading to a crescendo with an action Megatron knew Starscream would NEVER in a trillion years do.
and he did it twice in quick succession.
Sucks the only people who can help him are Autobots, though.

There are servos on Megatron’s plating. Elita One’s hands, and Ironhide’s, and Bumblebee’s and Prowl’s, all of them required to remove him from the one place he needs to be – on top of Optimus Prime, beating the ever-loving scrap out of him, and replacing it with sense and loyalty.
“Can you not think?” He hisses. “Do you not understand that no other mech can come rising back to life with a Matrix in his chest? Are you incapable of understanding the actual consequences of death?”
“We are at war," Optimus spits. When he speaks, the energon running from his nose to his lips is flung in spittles. "People take risks.”
“You take risks.” Megatron grabs Optimus’s forehead and shoves him back into the floor. “You take risks for them. With them."

But there's something that not a lot of people know about. What happens after death? Does an afterlife even exist? Would I even want to experience the afterlife? Having to live forever in an infinite realm... Sounds awful. Reincarnation on the other hand? Hummina, hummina! Sign me right up!
Living another life sounds fun, especially if I get to live life as another life form - such as an alien! But what happens that alien life form happens to be the same type of aliens from a show I watched as a kid? And what happens if I'm reborn into the show just before the war starts?
