Canon Divergent AU where Goro and Akira went out for dates, which resulted in people having feelings and things NOT going according to plan. Thus Goro Akechi discovers that redemption is fucking hard when you've killed at least two parents of people you know, that he will need to sort through at least some of his issues before he can properly date anyone, and that he might have more in common with Phantom Thieves than he thought.

Somehow, he manages to make do, whether it be from small acts of kindness, or advice from an disembodied voice that doesn’t belong to one of the many that already live in his head.
The world (Yaldabaoth) might have it out for him, but it be damned if it thinks it can keep a Fool fully under its thumb.

Summary
Goro has been longing for Akira's warmth since he shot him in the head. All he knows is the hunger tearing him apart from the inside out. A gnawing starvation that he'll fill with anything he can rip between his teeth. He no longer knows nor cares for the difference between love, lust, and hunger— between carnal and carnivorous. He cant tell if he wants to hold Akira or eat him alive, he just needs him close. Closer than two bodies can reasonably be.
Goro needs Akira's heart in his stomach.

Summary
At this closer distance, it’s still hard to make out details about him, primarily because of the sweatshirt. Ryuji doesn’t expect Akira to be hurt anyway, at least not more than he was when he initially returned from the interrogation room. The hood is only half pulled up, with his unruly curls sticking all over the place, in more of a state of disarray than they usually are. Ryuji wants to reach out and card his fingers through them, pat them down, provide some facsimile of comfort, but he doesn’t dare without permission, instead flattening his palms against his own knees and squeezing.
Voice still quiet, Ryuji greets, “Hey man. How was the doctor?”
Akira shrugs, which could realistically mean anything. Ryuji isn’t trying to push him to talk about it, but he’ll need a little more than that if he’s going to be of any help.
Or he could leave it. It’s always hard to tell with Akira.
