Apollo came to visit Jason's grave, only to meet with an unexpected demigod.
Years after the war against Kronos, Apollo saw a former member of the Titan Army - Alabaster Torrington, the Lieutenant of Kronos himself—this time, however, in a completely different situation.
Neither of them was the same as the other might expect. As the Fates might have it, their encounter was brought upon by unbreakable bonds - Nico di Angelo, Jason Grace and the grief that enveloped them all.

Apollo, the God of The Sun, had been casted down from Olympus. After going after quest by quest with Meg McCaffrey and several others, he was now bestowed under the alarming presence of Python. As the giant serpent swung attacks at him, Apollo couldn't help but reminisce about the older times – back when he was just starting out his trials.
Within all the hardships and true loyalty, not every good story has a good ending. Likewise in Apollo’s matter, not every last line in a Haiku means a good thing. As he fell into the unknown abyss of the universe, the only thing in his mind was his sons and daughters.
After the lingering death of the ex-god, the remnants of his question are still afloat back at Camp Half-Blood: Was he a good father?
But, that question will be later questioned after the camp finishes off Python themselves.

Thankfully, I was not expected to be the one to go first, and was able to just follow what the others were doing. Such as how now we were giving gifts.While I know the broad strokes, the general events, I am a bit rusty when it comes to the order of events at these parties. Things change through the centuries, too-- while it may have once been perfectly ordinary to gift fruit, something told me that was no longer socially acceptable.

I shook my head. “No. You shouldn’t be the one apologizing to me.” Keep it together, Apollo. “You were right, I haven’t been there for you.”It really hurt to admit that. Yes, I knew it was true, and I knew it had been true, but as I said earlier on apologies…
“Yeah, but that was because Zeus--” As soon as the name had left his mouth, there was a crash of thunder, sending a chill down my spine.
“Ah… Maybe let’s not grab his attention?” I laughed nervously, trying to keep the mood light.
“Is that what the scars are about?” He asked suddenly.
It was my turn now to be confused. I blinked, tilting my head at him. “What?”
“The scars.” He gestured to my arm, which made me suddenly very thankful that I was wearing long sleeves. “When you first came to see us, it was raining then, too. You flinched when you heard the thunder.” When I didn’t respond after a moment, he carried on. “You… didn’t want to talk about it then. Did you want to talk about it now?”
“No,” I stated firmly. “You’re the child here. You shouldn’t have to bear that burden.”
He shrugged nonchalantly. “It’s not a problem. It’s nothing I’m not used to.”
If I hadn’t been feeling sick yet, I was by that point. While yes, helping people was good, and I was proud that he was kind enough to offer, he should never have felt the need to do that for me. This, combined with what Fen had already told me all those months ago and the conversation we had just had… the guilt hurt. “No, I’m okay. I promise.”
“Okay, I won’t push. But if you need--”
“I’m fine,” I cut him off quickly.
“Okay.” He paused, looking back ahead. “Can I talk to you about something?” He finally asked.
“Anything,” I nodded, hoping my tone kept even as to not scare him off.
“Back in December, when we got the tarot readings done, I told Fen that the last card I got was Justice. But it wasn’t. It was Death.” He paused again. “I asked about Fen.”
Oh.
“Well, that card doesn’t always mean actual death,” I tried to reassure him with. “It’s about beginnings. Maybe this is just the start to something new?”
“What, like a new fucked up relationship?” He laughed painfully, as if moments away from crying. My heart broke.
“No!” I said quickly. “It can mean other things too. I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about.”
It might be, though, or at least that’s what the voice in the back of my head kept telling me. Our two pulls combined plus the prophecy… I didn’t need to be a Magic Eight Ball to know that the “outlook was
not so good.”

“Hey look what I found!” He shouted. When Riley turned around, Fen gently smacked the plastic sword on Riley’s head. “Boop,”

They gave each other a look, before each swiftly grabbed a new fake weapon, whacking me with it. Can you believe that? They hit me. Kids today know no respect for their parents.“Oh no!” I said dramatically, falling to the ground. “You’ve got me! You’ve killed me!”
Fen erupt into laughter, Riley smiling, both of which made me smile. Despite this, Riley rolled his eyes.
“Okay, Apollo, get up.”
“Thanatos?” I dramatized, reaching out a hand. “Is that you? Have you finally come for me?” By this point, Fen had joined me on the ground, holding his sides from laughter. “I think I can see the light.”
“People are starting to stare…” He continued. Glancing around, I saw no one. Still, I stood, making a grand gesture of a bow.
“And… scene,” I finished with. Fen began to clap.
“Bravo! Encore!” He laughed. Riley shook his head at us, but kept the smile.

Suddenly, we were sucked into near total darkness. And then, the worst happened.Game show music.

The first time I had ever been in complete darkness was a few months ago. Normally, I give off a pleasant aura of light. Even when I choose to suppress it, there are still elements that I cannot. For instance, my freckles. That was the case here. A dim light, barely enough to see in front of me. When I attempted for more, nothing happened.

“Now, all our loverboy over here has to do is aim the discus and throw it!” In the blink of an eye, she was across the stage, standing next to the mannequin. “Riiiiight here! Just one try, nice and simple!” She smiled, pointing to a place right on the side of the mannequin’s head. Turning to the audience, “And don’t you worry! I’m sure he’ll remember the spot nice and well,” then disappearing again.I wanted to strangle her.

Suddenly, I was whisked back onto the stage. It was rather disorienting, one moment being a mannequin and the next back to your normal self.

One of the perks of being a god is being able to split your form. This means that I can be in two places at the same time, hold two conversations at once. While I was at Camp Half Blood, I was also in a dorm room. It really saves a lot of time.

“I’ll always be here for you,” I said, “Even if I’m 93 million miles away.”

The story played at something in the back of my mind. “You asked for my aid,” I said. “I remember that. I thought it was odd, I had never heard you ask for something before.” He smiled sadly.

“Who’s your godly parent?”Both Riley and Marc snapped their heads at me. Marc laughed nervously. “What?”
“Who’s your godly parent?” I asked again, glancing at Riley, confused as to why Marc might not know this. “Because you’re a demigod…?”
“... What?” Both boys said at the same time.
“Roman? Considering that’s how you know my name?” Silence. “... Did you two not know this?”
“Woah woah woah,” Riley shook his head as he stood, pointing at Marc. “You’re a demigod?”
