Fulfilling a childhood dream, Stede decides to go and live in a cabin in the woods for a month - for science! - and Ed stumbles across him. Fascination ensues.
"So, what is it you're doing out here, exactly? This is hardly the beaten path. I thought I was the only one around for miles!”
"I'm…" Edward sweats a little. "I'm a backpacker?"
Stede's eyebrows rise comically. "A backpacker? Are you... are you sure about that? Your tone didn't sound too confident, just then."
"Erm."
"And aren't those clothes a little… uncomfortable for backpacking? And where's your backpack?"

Summary
Being cursed by magic and being cursed are two separate situations. A curse by magic must be cast by a sorcerer and will end once the caster has died, a curse however, is capable of being cast by anyone, whether they be a magic user or not.
A curse can only be cast by a person on their deathbed, where their lingering strong emotions latch onto their intended target and transforms into a curse, though no one entirely knows why or how this happens. Whoever the target is however, will never be able to escape their curse until their deaths.
A golden prince who abhors magic, cursed with the touch of death. A peasant-born warlock attempting to hide his magic in the center of Camelot, cursed with immortality. Two sides of the same coin indeed.

Technoblade really should have told… well someone, anyone really, because pacing inside of a small hut on the outskirts of the antarctic waiting and waiting and then waiting some more for this child to be born has been hell and Techno really wishes he had his twin brother here to strum his guitar and fill the room currently full of screams with soft melodies. Or perhaps his father could be here, with a hand on his shoulder telling him that everything will be alright, telling him that he won’t be a completely terrible father.
