So now, as he probes at that secret place inside the long hallway of his heart, the dark door behind which he’s stowed over a thousand of years of pent-up longing, the question he knows he wouldn’t be able to rest until he answers is: What if I let myself feel it all?

Aziraphale gaped in outrage as his weapon clattered to the deck. Golden eyes raked him from stem to stern. “I begin to think I have better uses for you than fishbait.” A hot hand ran down the side of Aziraphale’s face and then fisted in his coat. “Perhaps you would better serve me on your knees.”

It was as if Crowley had not suffered enough. As if the liquid fall of toga in that squalid little tavern in Ancient Greece wasn’t enough. As if the silvery-blue doublet and confectionary travesty of a ruff in 1601 hadn’t been enough. As if those ridiculous, satiny pink shoes and the bloody chains in the Bastille hadn’t been enough.
No, apparently none of that had been enough. Apparently, some sick, vindictive fucker – whether it be from Above, Below, or the chaotic whims of Fate itself – was having a jolly good time making Crowley suffer by parading Aziraphale around in all sorts of ridiculous attire. Ridiculous attire specifically designed to drive Crowley mad.
Or: five times Crowley was preoccupied with Aziraphale's body, and one time he could act on it.

Summary: Aziraphale is in love with Crowley. He can't express it, so instead to quietly tends to Crowley's various serpentine needs without his knowledge instead.
Excerpt: Aziraphale had never intended to become a casual herpetologist, it had just happened over the centuries. Crowley was such a needy snake, regardless of the fact that he would never admit to it. He required a rather strict feeding schedule which took ages to acclimate too, and then there was acclimation itself. Aziraphale had spent so much time arranging his bookshop: the sunny space by the window was precisely ninety degrees in full sun but eighty-five without, whereas his reading room was maintained at a cool and comfortable seventy-five degrees.

“It’s not perfect so humans get rid of it. They have no right to decide what’s perfect and what isn’t. Their lawns would be beautiful even if it was entirely made of crabgrass.”

“You think that lot loved you?” Was what he managed to say.
Aziraphale gave him a tired smile. It was the smile of a man who knew they were accepting horrible treatment, but weren’t going to do anything about it.

And every time after that, the accidental brushes, the few moments of tolerating social norms, Aziraphale pulled away as though electrified, as though Crowley’s touch could taint him. And Crowley didn’t want to do that, so he let him, and he never said anything, and he pretended it didn’t ache to feel like something repulsive.

Summary

One particular omega is made aware of that in a botched kidnapping that encourages his family to tuck him into a mansion and keep him there. All for his safety, of course.
This dull life is far from what Aziraphale wants, however, so when the chance to have a bodyguard presents itself, he leaps at the opportunity.
That the opportunity smells nice and is handsome is quite the boon, if only Crowley would look at him as something besides a person who needs protecting...
