Summary
John is a little torn when it comes to sex with "Bangbots" as Richard had called them, but after the events of "Skin" curiosity gets the best of him and makes him drive to a club where he possibly wants to try and satisfy said curiosity. Instead of a sexbot, he meets James Kirk, a young blond man with bright blue eyes, who confronts John with a side of himself he hadn't noticed before. This is set just after the episode “Skin” of Almost Human.

Summary
Jim Kirk: the young enfant terrible of robotics, a superstar in the world of technology but a coked-out, Bends-addled playboy at the same time. He's a twenty-seven year old recluse, held up in his penthouse apartment-slash-laboratory, taking all the drugs he needs to get him through the day. He’s young, gorgeous, brilliant, paranoid, has a lab full of robots for company and remodels them whenever he feels like something different in his bed. But he’s getting bored, and when he gets bored, he gets unhinged. He goes to the ‘net for entertainment and finds the site of some sicko who’s strapping bombs with countdown timers around people’s throats.
He leans in and watches as the last one, the gruff, sarcastic police officer, manages to deactivate his bomb and save himself and laughs in relief. He’s not bad. He’s not bad at all.

Summary
John Kennex is newly back at work at the Department of Supernatural Enforcement after recovering from a coma and has been assigned a vampire partner, Dorian, much to his disgust. He and Dorian are given a case involving serial killings of vampires. As they investigate the case, John reluctantly comes to respect and like Dorian. It turns out that there is more to the murders than a simple serial killer, and John discovers that his own past is tangled up in the case.
