All in all, the abuse he’s suffered has left him craving for love in the worst of places... so he's given his heart to the very man who shattered it.
When Papyrus and Mettaton meet, sparks fly, and they begin to find in each other the love and respect they’ve needed all along. There’s only one thing standing in the way of true love, and that’s the walls they’ve built around their own hearts. Summary
Sans is tired, he's been through so many of the player's runs that he's had to start doing runs of his own (in the literal sense). He's been picking up on clues he's left himself through his computer to help him find a way to keep him and his brother safe. The player's constant unwavering determination is putting too much strain on the structure making up reality itself. The Core can not reasonably function in these conditions so their collective magic has been weakening. It's on him to carry the burden of the Underground's situation and worsening conditions because no one else has seemed to notice.
Sans has to put on his big boy pants and finally give a shit. You've forced his hand.

Summary
Wingdings Gaster accidentally makes a little sibling for 1-S and 2-P. 1-S is uneasy, as this means another kid being subjected to the hell that was the place he only knew as Inside. 2-P is desperately trying to be excited at someone else to be friends with, even if he knows, deep down, what this means.
In Pages I used fonts, but I don't know how to do that in AO3, sorry.

Papyrus reaches for one as it passes by, but his soul jerks out of the way at the last minute. Flowey’s face goes through an interesting range of expressions in a very short period of time, but quickly settles into cheerful neutrality. “Oh, Sans! You’re back,” he says, smile wide. “Does this mean you’re finally ready to continue the experiment?”
“My name isn’t Sans,” Papyrus replies, wrinkling his brow. “And what do you mean, ‘experiment’?”
Flowey snorts derisively. “I wasn't talking to you, you idiot. I was talking to my best friend.”
In which Papyrus is the eighth human to fall, Sans is the first, and things definitely aren't what they seem.
