Rodimus suffers an injury, but in the end.............the whole series is essentially his growth from someone trying to restructure their life. And eventually become "Rodimus Prime", for real and true. And with the love (and sometimes heartwrenching aches) of Megatron--he becomes better than who he was before. Depending on how it ends, there may be potential to continue later one.

    Optimus Prime finds himself in the middle of a war he's sorely underequipped to deal with, while dealing with the fact that now he should be hiding from the humans while being practically babied by the war veterans, though it comes to light that he has far much more to offer than anyone realizes.

    And in the meanwhile Optimus Prime has difficulties adjusting to his temporary home, where things appear idyllic and at peace and he's not sure if it is just a facade or he's suffering from the type of paranoia that can only be bred by millennia long war.
