Look. If there can be five-hundred different Molly Lives AUs out there, I can have one (1) canon-divergent AU where everyone's favorite little therapy bot gets to survive that first trip to Ruidus. My plan for this series is that it won't necessarily be in chronological order in canon time and that the stories won't require people to read the others in the series. I might recommend reading the initial story "Chrysalis" to get details on the actual moment of canon divergence (feat. some classic Dunamancy Shit), but the following stories should be fairly clear in referencing and explaining that moment as well. Either way, I hope you enjoy the AU! <3

When Frank Langdon had woken up that morning, he’d decided it was going to be a good day. There wasn't any one particular reason or another that made this morning stand apart from the others. It was just a gut feeling. Years of working at the ED had taught him to trust his gut, and so he leaned into the feeling without question.
It was approximately 3:37pm when the day really showed what it had in store for Frank Langdon, and he cursed himself for ever believing in good days.
(Or, Langdon has an unfortune day at work that sends him right back into the depths of his addiction recovery.)

Buck’s breath caught in his throat.
He tugged at the rope around his wrists, twisting and contorting himself in an attempt to wrench himself out of the restraints. The rope burned against his skin. Buck wasn’t sure if it was sweat or water running down his face, but he didn’t care. He needed to get out of the rope.
The more he struggled, the more the rope cut into his skin until the burning sensation on his wrists rivaled that of the throbbing in his head.
“That’s not going to work,” a soft, familiar voice said behind him.
Buck’s blood ran cold. “Chase?”
“Nice to see you, Buckley.” Footsteps echoed around him until Chase Mackey’s smug face appeared before him. “I have to say, you’ve looked better.”
“What’s going on?” Buck tugged against the restraints. “Where am I?”
“We’re going to play a game.” Mackey reached into the front pocket of his suit — did he only own suits? — and pulled something out.
Buck’s phone.
