There’s a myriad of voices rising and falling in the house behind him, a quiet murmur from stargazers in the field beyond. Wild’s laugh rises with the wind. It’s a bright, wheezing, joyful sound and something in Legend aches distantly.
At some point, Time comes out to stand next to him. He’s dressed casually in a home-spun tunic, face relaxed and a smile playing on his mouth as he watches Hyrule roll into Wild in the field, as their giggles fade with the crickets.
“What an adventure we’ve had,” Time says lightly— proud, even. His hand comes up to muss Legend’s hair gently. His palm is warm.

Time hums agreeably, watching for Twilight's reaction. The Rancher's ears twitch again.
“Guess he wasn't lyin’ about training,” he murmurs.
The grin freezes on the other male's face, and Time's heart jumps in sudden, unfamiliar anxiety. “Rancher? Something the matter?”
Twilight shushes him. Time pauses in his tracks, frozen at the unexpected gesture.
Listen, Twilight signs at him.
(In the army, you grow through pain and harsh discipline. Warriors knows this. Time and Twilight, it seems, do not - and take issue with it.)

Mask was sick and tired of the captain treating him like a child, and he snapped and said something he didn’t mean, something he didn’t know how to take back. When the captain gets injured, Mask loses his chance to apologize for shouting he hated him.
Time had been full of regret for twenty years, and he finally gets his chance to apologize for telling Warriors he hated him.

Two times Time accidentally made his brother cry, once because he said something he didn’t mean, and once because he told him he was proud of him. (They both get a hug.)

Water rolls down Link’s arms, his shirt long since soaked through, pooling in his fisted hands before dripping to the ground below. It’s cold, and his palms hurt from how long they’ve been holding his sword, and his hair drips small streams down his face. And it tastes like a day he’ll never get back. When he’d run through the muddy fields with his cousins, scaring the cattle and jumping fences to go dart through the woods, looking for frogs and snails. When his hands were young and soft, when he’d turn his face up to the stars just to soak in their brilliance, when it was just him and the gentle trees and nothing else.

The captain has been on a mission for a month and Mask has missed him terribly, but when Link comes back Mask realizes something about his brother he'd somehow never noticed before.
Later on, when Warriors is injured and unable to easily do things on his own, he's forced to rely on his brother for help, which Time knows is a big step for him given all the things he went through during the War of Eras.

Summary
Mask has never seen the captain without his scarf, the young man is parasitically attached to it. So naturally, he pulls a prank on him and hides it. While he waits for the captain to notice his missing scarf, he tries to draw the ugliest picture he can to see when the captain will stop trying to hang his art up on the walls, because for some reason his brother loves everything he makes.
Later, he realizes he's made a huge mistake in trying to prank the captain by hiding something that gives him comfort.

“Him and his horse,” he groaned, rubbing a hand down his face. “He got it pretty quick, too.”
Zelda winced. “I don’t mean to insult your artwork, but how in the hells did he get that from this?”
“That’s what I’m saying,” he scoffed, throwing a hand in the air in exasperation. “I intentionally make these worse every time I do ‘em, and he somehow manages to correctly guess what it is before hanging them up somewhere.”
The princess laughed, finishing up her cup of tea.
“At first I thought he was just being polite about it,” Mask continued, “but I’m starting to think he genuinely likes them, in some fucked up way.”
“Of course he likes them,” Zelda rolled her eyes. “They’re gifts from you.”
Mask wrinkled his nose in disgust. “He needs to get over himself, because he’s littering the tent with garbage. His side looks like shit with all those drawings pinned to it.”
The princess gave him a weird look, one he couldn’t quite place, but before Mask could ask her about it, she brushed off her skirt and stood with a kind smile.

“Have you seen my scarf?” He choked out, throwing around the pillows on his cot to check underneath them.Mask blinked in shock, his words freezing in his throat when Link turned to him with a face that only screamed panic. He should’ve given it back to him right then, but he was suddenly scared that he was going to get in trouble for his prank, so he shut his mouth and shook his head.
He regretted it immediately when the captain let out a small sound of distress, searching every inch of their shared space, but he couldn’t just speak up and say he had it, not after he’d just lied to him and said he didn’t. Mask hadn’t anticipated his brother would react this way, he just thought he’d get a small scolding for hiding his things, and then the captain would laugh it off, but Link looked truly distraught as he searched everywhere for his beloved scarf.
Eventually, Mask couldn’t take it anymore, and he pretended to look around for it as well, carefully pulling it from his hiding place before acting like he found it on the floor near his brother’s desk.
“Here!” He said holding it out.

Warriors has been affected by chronic low blood sugar his entire life, but it wasn’t until he was seventeen years old that he found out that’s what this “mysterious illness” actually was, because he collapsed and was found on the floor.
Time is well aware of the signs Warriors’s blood sugar is getting too low and is well equipped to help him with it now after having been there the day he figured out it was a blood sugar issue in the first place

Warriors gets a bit tipsy and ends up saying something about himself he didn't mean to share, something that keeps Time up all night with worry.
