Summary
After Megatron disappeared on board the Orion in search of the Allspark, Orion and his crew scramble to balance commanding the remaining Decepticon forces while looking for him.
Relief is palpable when Orion and his crew receive word that the crashed Nemesis has been located and they set off to lead the search personally on Earth. Orion will have to balance keeping the larger Decepticon presence a secret while dealing with the Orion's crew and the local organics.
A sequel to Those Abandoned, but can easily be read before it since everything that has happened since then is explained in the first chapter.

Cingetorix’s life went from pathetically simple to downright strange in the ten minutes it took to stumble across the (sapient?) construct bent over an old rusted toaster, sobbing into it’s little hands. (Okay, not at all little, not for a nine maybe ten foot tall being).Heh. To think she thought playing chicken with her estranged master was difficult and unnecessarily convoluted. Now she can check off ‘guiding a mentally ill construct who swears his toaster is oppressed and in need of medical attention back to his equally confused crewmates’ from her bucket list. Seems simple enough, right? If only he would stop scolding her every five minutes for using her compass against it’s will.

Summary
Prime moves swiftly, with purpose—lifting, shifting, tossing debris aside as though it weighs nothing. His steps are careful but unrelenting, the ground shaking just slightly under each one. The tremor of the rubble vibrates through Starscream and it feels like knives being jabbed into his wires.
Of course Optimus Prime would show up. Of course he'd come for one of his own.
He can't even delegate this to someone else. Optimus Prime is too noble, too compassionate, too honorable to not put his own life on the line for his underlings.
Megatron would laugh at the very notion.

But Jazz was trained in getting himself out of bad situations! Not in avoiding them! Curiosity was brewing in the back of his processor and he at least trusted himself to put the little sniper down if needed.
