Summary
Optimus and Megatron have made peace and Cybertron is now thriving, only... The bonded pair find little time for themselves as they work for the council of the new order in Cybertron.
There is much work to be done but with the Prime's insane work ethic and absence it causes Megatron to grow exceptionally jealous and frustrated given the lack of attention his bonded gives him leading to resentment until opportunity presents itself.
When Optimus unexpectedly hits his heat cycle, Megatron decides to use his mate's confusing, and consuming need to his advantage, after all...

Megatron isn’t the first stud he’s taken a shine to, but he is the first to refuse to play by the Agency’s rules, to offer freely things Hot Rod has never been able to afford. Contrary to popular belief, Primes did party. Take Optimus for example. The former Autobot leader was swaying his hips while standing (wobbling) on top of the bar, garnering the attention of every nearby bot. Shanix littered the countertop as Optimus shook his aft to Soundwave’s sick beats.
Megatron observed his conjunx from across the club. It took all of his willpower not to roll his optics at Optimus’ drunken antics. He didn’t have enough digits to count the amount of high-grade cubes Optimus had downed before deciding to make a fool of himself.
