A few years prior Maggie had received a letter, one of her relatives, a second uncle or some other distant family member (who Maggie couldn’t recall meeting even once) had unfortunately passed away and had left something in Maggie’s name. A beach house, off the coast of Maine. At first Maggie almost felt guilty accepting it from someone she barely even knew when they were alive, she thought maybe the family member had misspelled a name or made a mistake, or maybe as Went argued “they had no-one else to leave it to.”
And hey who was Maggie to deny fate ?

But sometimes he feels like this and he doesn’t know what else to do but give in. To put himself as close to Richie as possible. To get in his space. Be a nuisance. Draw Richie’s attention towards him so he can feel the strange high it creates, the way his heart seizes in his chest when Richie looks at him long enough and his skin gets all electrified when Richie touches him.
The intensity of it always scares him. Makes him feel brittle and fragile, like a moth's wings. He could just give in.
Sometimes he does give in.
That's what scares him the most, is when he can't resist temptation.
He prays loudest during the “Our Father” to make sure his mom can hear him pleading with a God that doesn't exist to lead us not into temptation.

“Oh God,” Eddie buries his face in his hands. Well, Richie’s definitely talking about what he’s talking about, at least.
