An excellent fusion 'verse (with just added daemons, no HDM plot or characters), well-thought, packing plenty of emotional punch and plotty action, as long as you're okay with some non-linearity and experimental narrative formatting, as well as OCs and alt-PoVs. I'm quite enjoying it, and hope there will be updates before too much longer, though of course that's in the hands of the author and the vicissitudes of fate.
[Re]read the completed parts, 8/'25, and this time also read thru the current endpoints of obsessional (Ch.24, a sub-arc McShep happy ending), and endex (Ch.7, a mainly-OCs cliffie — well, Jennifer Hailey is an SG-1 minor character), both of which to-be-concurrent stories are roughly at the midpoints of their respective gappy rough drafts.

Summary
Bucky Barnes is a Dom in a world full of ridiculous subs who all somehow end up in his care. Don't ask him how that happens, because he has no idea. But he's still pretty fond of them all
This is a mostly platonic series where Bucky became Steve's domestic Dom when they were teens, then Peggy Carter's domestic Dom after Captain America joined the war, and because he was a Dom NCO, he ended up disciplining a lot of random soldiers, too.
Then after the war and the Winter Soldier thing (which still happens in this world but he's recovered in the late 90's by Fury and Carter) he helped out at SHIELD, where he had to discipline some familiar baby SHIELD agents from time to time, and then somehow became TJ Hammond's domestic Dom. (His great nephew, of Political Animals fandom, also played by Sebastian Stan)
THEN! After TJ is kidnapped (because his mom is finally president) and recovered by one pissed-off Winter Soldier, the two of them are relocated to Atlantis (of Stargate Atlantis, because I can) for security purposes. And TJ finds his perfect man, and the series' only real ship happens.OR-

The Ancients' genes didn't just confer the power to activate their technology. For ten percent of Earth's population, like John Sheppard, the ATA gene also gave them Gifts: special abilities that made them admired, envied, and feared.
Sheppard was a Charmer, one of the feared ones, whose particular Gift let him create faith whenever he needed to be trusted or believed. But Sheppard didn't trust himself not to destroy what he loved most. And somewhere along the line, amid the terror and chaos of the Expedition's first year in the Pegasus Galaxy, what Sheppard loved most had become Rodney McKay.
McKay didn't trust anyone. As soon as you started trusting people, you started counting on them, depending on them, and that was when you became vulnerable. And vulnerable things didn't survive. So just when, exactly, had he started trusting Sheppard?
And what was going to happen, now that he did?
2.Bad Dates
"Your Gift's like noticing a dead monkey?"
Evan Lorne comes to Atlantis with a Gift that isn't particularly useful--until it's desperately important.
3.Winking Out
Her energy signature just winked out. Her energy was gone. Gone, like she'd never existed. Gone like Atlantis had been scrubbed clean of her presence. Like the flicking of a light switch, like the dousing of a flame.
4.Pinpoint
Chuck felt a slow burn of anger ignite deep in his gut. "There's lots of people who can't control their Gifts," he said slowly. "I happen to be one of them."
5.Enthrall
Rodney McKay thought his biggest failure was the Arcturus Project and the destruction of 4/5ths of a solar system. John Sheppard thought losing his confidence in Rodney was the hardest loss he would ever face.
But their most terrible failures were yet to come, and they would each face losing everything, including themselves.
6.Stricken
In the beginning of their fourth year on Atlantis, the Expedition has survived the attack by the Asurans' wormhole-powered satellite, and successfully flown Atlantis to a new planet with little damage and no casualties. But the city has barely landed when Rodney McKay receives a devastating message, and that's just the beginning of a new and terrible threat.
Now, with all the Gifted on Atlantis in danger and Rodney facing imminent death, Rodney, Elizabeth Weir and John Sheppard are in a race against time to save the most powerful and vulnerable members of the Expedition. For John, that means confronting his deepest fears about his Gift—and even that might not be enough to save Rodney's life.

Yesterday--if it was just yesterday, and not, say, six months ago--I was watching my partner kick yet another door in and I was thinking that the only things I had to worry about were Steve getting us killed, Grace's eventual dating, and if I was ever going to find an apartment that wasn't infested with cockroaches, black mold or ghosts of old ladies in funny hats. And now, suddenly, I find out that the entire fucking universe is a giant terrarium project populated with aliens that want to kill us. And you two, apparently, live in another galaxy and don't seem to think there's anything weird about that. Does that sum up the situation here? Or did I miss something?"
10.Thaw
Danny Williams is one of the ten percent of Earth's population who have special, superhuman abilities known as Gifts.
Danny would say the better term is curse, especially when he gets kidnapped by criminals who expect him to do the impossible.
Now he's got two choices: comply, possibly destroy the world, and die in terrible pain; or refuse...and die in terrible pain. How is this his life?
And what do a bunch of impatient, angry Russians want with a big, green cylinder anyway?
