“I’m… not Hylian anymore,” Time admits softly, “in pretty much anything but superficial appearance. I don’t have veins and arteries, I have roots and vines, with a mix of blood and sap running through them. My skin is scales and chromatophores, I have gills and a third eyelid, my teeth and bones are stone, and I have four extra people, one of them a god, hanging out in the back of my head.”
The mask spirits had more of an effect on Time than anyone anticipated.

Summary
The Lost Woods never forget their own.
When the Chain stumbles into Time’s old home, they expect danger — not curious vines, giggling Kokiri, and an enormous talking tree with far too much to say. Between magical pranks, forest mischief, and a few too many “back in my day” moments, Time discovers that the woods remember him just as fondly as he remembers them.
Sometimes, the past catches up not with sorrow, but with laughter.

The air around them changed. Wild felt goosebumps rise all along his arms and his hair raising. This was a sign, he snapped his head up to the night sky.

But… They weren't even in his Hyrule. How could a blood moon be happening!? Wild got to his feet before he could even think about it.
He could feel the presence of evil that he came to know every full moon.

Unexpectedly, Wild has to live out a second adventure. The remaining heroes attempt to come to terms with the sudden loss. Their reunion is not as happy as it should be, at first.

And, deep down, he worries they'll see him differently. The facade of a responsible leader is hard enough to maintain as it is, without adding on any... complications. Especially complications that don't make any difference to who he is and what he's capable of. It's a ridiculous thought, he knows, but he can't shake it.
