Summary
James Kirk was born into the stars. As a baby his mother would take him outside, and she would tell stories about the constellations that painted the night sky. Thousands of Golden strands would stream down from the sky, they tangled around Jim. Dancing through his hair and bathing him in a soft golden glow, almost as if he was made of the stars himself.

“If you think killing him made you better than him, you’re wrong,” Bruce growled, his voice laced with anger and something deeper—. “You’re no better than the criminals you claim to stop.”
Dick’s eyes burned as the weight of Bruce’s words settled in. “What are you going to do, then? Turn me in? Put me in Arkham, like one of your rogues?”
Bruce's expression hardened, his voice cold and deliberate. “If that’s what it takes to stop you from becoming something worse... I’ll have to.”
For a moment, neither of them moved, the tension crackling like electricity between them. Then, without another word, Dick turned on his heel and fled, slamming the door behind him.
The moment Dick got home he shattered. Without thinking he grabbed his first aid kit and made his way to the docks. His mind wandered to Bruce’s comments. He knew Bruce had despised him for killing the Joker.
“That bastard,” Dick mumbled, not even sure if he was talking about Batman or the Joker. He sent one last mental apology to Alfred and Tim, and with that thought downed the pills. Not noticing the looming figure crawling out of the harbor, he slipped into the void.

Now changed to be clear that this is a (Hale) pack-centric series—and while Sterek does take center focus in a lot of it, it is not solely a Sterek-centric series. The previous title reflected the first 6 short fics, as those were Sterek-centric, but the bulk of the series is about pack and what that means to each of the characters. Since the Hale pack symbol/tattoo is important, I thought this new title captured the focus of the series much better.*

Summary
