Summary
Sephiroth grants Cloud a gift, another chance to save a world that was doomed to end in exchange for losing all that he held dear. With the deterioration of the planet, there is little that stands in the way of his call and Sephiroth gives Cloud little choice.
Brought into a world where Cloud is finally firmly in the grasp of his rightful family, Cloud struggles for reason. The voice of mother urges him to finish what she started before she was sealed by the ancients but Sephiroth has other plans, one he intends to succeed no matter the cost.

Summary
Zack had acquired a shadow sometime after entering Nibelheim. A familiar shadow, but frustrated at staying distant; never approaching for whatever they had in mind. Adorable in its own way, though also concerning. It was not as if they were strangers. Sure, the divisions between the ranks kept them distant and made for a strained situation at times. Hanging around with a low-level infantry-type would raise any number of questions; it might also get low-level infantry-type in increasing trouble both with their superiors and their peers.
Cloud has a crush on Zack before the tragedy of Nibelheim. In the aftermath, Zack carries Cloud to safety.

Summary
Visiting Nibelheim never became more comfortable, and this latest occasion was no exception – despite the Mako taint in the air near faded to nothing. Hard to articulate how alien the place felt. At first glance it was a town five years out of time and impossibly here. At a closer look it revealed hundreds of inconsistencies, errors, shortcuts and mistakes. No need to venture into the long-since abandoned shell of what purported to be Tifa’s house; Cloud was likewise reluctant to go home and find it still empty.
A report based on investigation by Reeve indicated the facsimile town would not last long. Not only a poor replica, but shoddily made too. Shinra’s cover-up assembled in haste and not remotely equipped to deal with the weather below the peak of Mount Nibel. The houses, the water tower, the hotel, the shops; all would collapse on their own, rotting and crumbling away over time – returning to the Planet much like the prior inhabitants.
Not why she, Cloud and Yuffie were here.
Tifa, Cloud and Yuffie return to Nibelheim to make sure the last remaining traces of the Jenova project are gone.

Summary
For all intents and purposes, this is a novelization of Dirge of Cerberus, its online multiplayer, and two relevant chapters from Before Crisis.
However, I took enough creative liberties with the order in which scenes are shown that it doesn't feel quite right to officially title it an "unofficial novelization." The biggest example is that all the scenes with Grimoire, Lucrecia, and Vincent are compiled into the first chapter instead of scattered, out of order, throughout the game.

A novelization of Crisis Core -Reunion- that includes everything you can imagine from the original game: missions, side quests, fan clubs, secret boss fights, and a chapter from Before Crisis featuring Zack! It includes or references every email that Zack receives and every Digital Mind Wave (DMW) scene.
While the work itself is not a game guide, the notes at the end of each chapter note where to find each mission and side quest referenced in that chapter.
Though most of the novel is written from Zack's POV, there are short scenes from the POV of Sephiroth, Angeal, Genesis, Tseng, Tifa, and Cloud. There are also a few short fanon scenes to help with pacing, especially during chapters that are very side-mission-focused.
It is a rework of a novelization I wrote on my old AO3 account a few years ago.

Who is Cissnei? Kadaj, Loz and Yazoo don't care about that so much as WHY she disappeared from Shinra's records after the termination of Specimen Z and the end of the Jenova Project. Could it be this mysterious Turk went into hiding because she was set to guard something important from that time? Something like ... Jenova's head?
If they have to kill her to find out, well then that's just bad luck for her.
