Dream is a well-known surfer who is injured before a major competition so he must train his replacement George, who is a rising star in the surfing world. A mixture of resentment, shame, attraction, self-esteem issues, and unspoken words make this an entertaining and thought-provoking read!

Summary
And Dream knows, deep down in his heart, that this will be anything but a blessing. That this will be the worst decision he has ever made, the worst decision he ever will. That he is defying Fate’s course if he takes what he has been offered, and that She will curse him forever in response to his disobedience.
He doesn’t care.
Dream moves George’s body from his lap and lays it on the grass beside him, pressing a chaste kiss to George’s forehead. He evens his breath and admires long eyelashes, tan skin, dark hair. Scorching the image into his mind, he rises to his knees.
Dream turns his whole body to the witch, and grovels at her feet.
“Please,” he begs, “bring him back.”
...
George dies on Dream's birthday. He's able to get him back- but it comes with a cost.

2020 Dream wakes up, disoriented in 2023 Dream's body. It may sound simple and straightforward, but I promise that "The Gold Room" is infinitely more complex, more raw, more heartwarming, more heartbreaking, and more achingly human than any 1-sentence summary could capture. If you are a "George fell first, Dream fell harder" believer, then this is the perfect story for you! (and if you are a "Dream fell first, George fell harder" believer, then this story will change your mind!)

Summary
George Collant, the most level-headed paramedic at the fire station, is someone that everyone can count on, and he enjoys his job. At least until a new firefighter shows up.
Dream Netak, the new firefighter-in-training, is a former football player with a huge hero complex and golden retriever energy to spare. And George can tolerate the man’s presence, until fate throws them together.
Sparks fly, and not the good kind. It doesn’t help that Dream is frustratingly endearing, and hotter than the fires he fights.
It isn’t long before a new kind of spark ignites - but will it bring them together, or be the fierce backdraft that pushes them apart?- Language:

Patches is the daughter of Dream and George and the niece of her Uncle Sapnap! This is such a fluffy and sweet story about how all of us can represent concepts bigger than ourselves, and it shows how powerful love and empathy are when raising a child!
