He doesn’t.
“Radio?” Vox furrows his brow, thinking. “Kind of outdated, isn’t it? Aren’t we in the modern era of television right now?” He makes a wide sweeping gesture. “Out with the old, in with the new!”

Summary
Once Vox went by a different name. Not Vincent. A different name that brought him shame and tasted bitter on his tongue. Even then, some of his happiest memories are from when he bore that name. But now those memories are tainted by his current reality and rivalry with the Radio Demon.
Unbeknownst to everyone but himself, Vox and Alastor knew each other once while in life. It was a secret he had carried for decades but now as he lay broken in the wake of his defeat he couldn’t help himself to spit the truth back in Alastor’s face. The look of shock on the face of his once husband was the greatest present to Vox as he welcomed the promise of death with open arms.
His only regret? Not being able to see his daughter in Heaven one last time.

Summary
Vox was pointing to Alastor, then putting his palm flat on his chest. His expression, as much as Angel could see of it, looked pathetic, beaten down, a sad little doggy that someone tried to drown in the river. Oh fuck, oh fuck, Angel thought, is he in love with him? It’d explain a lot. Was an honest-to-Lucifer soap opera playing out in their own backyard? Could Angel possibly be so lucky?
Angel sees something he shouldn’t and decides to take his fun where he can get it, which means inserting himself into a resistant Alastor’s life as his new gay BFF and confidante. Meanwhile, Alastor tries to make sense of the changes he’s gone through over the decades, and Vox struggles with the prospect of losing his fragile empire.

Summary
The radio demon was back, and he was helping Lucifer’s daughter with her tacky hotel. Part of him simply wanted to try and film it for the profits, but part of him merely wanted to watch from the sidelines to see what happened. It was a surprise to see the fight that ensued at the hotel, and he distinctly remembered sneering at what was broadcasted. The night followed with a celebration. Tangled limbs, hushed snarls, and static. He remembered that much from what his memory bank retained. But after that, there was a puff of red smoke and then nothing.
And he woke up.

Alastor has faced some of the greatest evils that have ever existed - has stood firm in back alleys against overlords stronger than him, has several times dodged exorcist spears and even divine guitars.
He is NOT going to be defeated by a fucking HOTEL ROOM and the desperate housewife from HELL.
Alternative summary: Alastor spends a sizeable amount of time locked in single combat with a hotel room door, Vaggie grows as a person, Lucifer Morningstar is Very Concerned that his ex-wife and current-whatever may be getting along too well, Charlie spends a lot of time being confused, Frederick von Eldrich comes out of retirement with style, the Archangel Michael develops a headache, and Vox attempts to de-bug his conscience.
There are also copious musical references for no good reason whatsoever.

“I swear, if you film me goin' at it with mister fancy-talk creepy voice here, you'd be rollin' in participants willin' to stay at this tacky hotel.”
“Haha! Never going to happen.”
But the surest way to make anything happen is, of course, to claim that it never will.
After Charlie vents her frustrations with Angel's deal and how it consistently pulls him from the hotel's bonding activities, Alastor spies an opportunity to both earn her favor and put her in his debt. If it also happens to fuck with Vox by poaching his temperamental boytoy's top talent, more's the pleasure.
Or: The one where Alastor challenges Valentino to a porn-off for Angel's soul, the Vees underestimate the sex appeal of a man in a well-tailored suit, and Husk learns to appreciate the fine art of erotic filmmaking.
