Summary
In an alternative universe, where [nearly] all the Decepticons we know are Autobots and vice-versa--Rodimus of Nyon, a war criminal and leader of the Wreckers, has been placed on the Lost Light, much to Megatron's dismay. Now they have to tolerate each other and work together to find the Knights of Cybertron. But shortly after Rodimus comes on board and begins to disrupt the comfort and peace of life on the ship--the Lost Light encounters an area of space with a whole lot of debris and a body.
Debris labeled as the "Unitrex-1" and the body is awfully familiar, too. And that's not a good sign, since THEIR ship seems to be all whole and normal.
Throw into the mix a spy, a saboteur, the possible encounter of the Decepticon Justice Division--an unknown group of five zealots who decide to take out anyone they've determined have betrayed Optimus Prime and the Decepticon Cause--and a strange planet where odd blue flowers grow........the crew of the Lost Light and their brightly-colored new [co-] Captain just may be in for the fight of their lives.

From the first moment I was born, I was prepared to fulfill my destiny, and I did everything to fulfill my destiny, but to achieve my destiny, I had to I sacrifice, and even if I do not want to sacrifice anything, I am too weak to protect anything, and at the end I found myself asking the question: “To what extent are you willing to sacrifice for the sake of strength?”

Flatline turned his helm to stare at Ravage so fast that a cable in his neck creaked dangerously, and Barricade’s own surprise led to his holoform nearly dissolving on the spot. She watched in some amusement as Miles got curious and stuck a hand through his middle and wiggled his fingers.
“Megatron is dead,” Ravage pointed out needlessly. “If we followed the rules of succession, that makes Starscream the new leader of the Decepticons, and where is he, exactly?”
“Somewhere on Pluto, last I heard.” Barricade said slowly.
“Exactly,” Ravage shook her helm. “He’s gone off to the end of the solar system and is about as useful as he ever was to the cause. The Decepticons on Earth have been lying low for years due to a lack of numbers and solid leadership.”

(While this work is not the first in a series, the prior work(s) is/are not a necessary read to understand this one.)
The Omega Lock is a pile of scrap in the middle of the Rust Sea. Autobot Outpost Omega One is reduced to rubble. The Autobots themselves are scattered across the United States, hoping the others are alive. But hope is an empty concept, one that died the same day as Cybertron.
With the arrival of several new Decepticons and Autobots, including Combaticons and Wreckers, respectively, the tide seems to have changed. But then Megatron brings up an old trick, one that could have more devastating consequences than it did the first time.
(This is a rewrite of Season 3. There will be no OCs in this story because I want it to be as close to potential canon as possible. There will also be no pairings besides June/Fowler because pairings aren't really a focus of the show anyway.)
