“Yes.” Adrien takes the floor, holding up a piece of paper and putting one hand on his hip. “I think we're missing one big point here.” He points at the TV screen, which switches to a masked photo of Hawkmoth. “This is Hawkmoth! He's a grown man and no way a young woman, much less my client. You say that you found evidence in my client's apartment, which could just be circumstantial evidence. The butterflies? My client might be an entomologist.”

What happens if he's wrong and somehow thinks that Kagami is his Lady Love? And what if Marinette, seeing Adrien smitten with Kagami, dates someone else to get over him, but falls completely in love with them?
When Ladybug starts gushing to Chat Noir about her boyfriend when he starts dating Kagami, his belief is only cemented further.
At least, until the reveal.

Which was why Tikki was at home with Alya, so that Marinette could actually relax and enjoy the plush amenities the hotel had to offer, such as a bed that looked like it cost five times her monthly salary.
Or, she would be able to enjoy it, if she wasn’t standing in the middle of the villa she’d booked over a month ago, fighting for the bed with freaking Chat Noir, of all people.
