Summary
While most of the Autobots and Decepticons crashed on Earth 150 vorns ago, those left behind on Cybertron needed to survive. While many are continuing the fight between Autobots and Decepticons, Kup and Ultra Magnus have taken a step back from the fighting to take care of three young cadets born after the Arc crashed and a sparkling they found in the ruins of Nyon.
An accident while scavenging for materials ends with Hot Rod crashing into the Acroplex, changing the course of Cybertron's future.

Zeta had always felt harsh, like broken glass. Arrogant and prideful, thinking himself infallible. He placed himself before others, and for that, Metroplex found that he didn’t want to listen to his call, should it ever happen. But he would — people’s lives depended on it. No matter how much he detested Zeta’s ways, Metroplex would come to stand beside him.
But Zeta never called.
He never called, even as his spark guttered, returning to the Allspark where Metroplex cannot reach. He’s wondered many times whether Zeta ever felt him, asking to be used like the weapon he is. Whether or not Zeta ever heard his own calls.
This Prime, however… they feel loving. Stricken with grief and in need of saving, believing in something he can’t see, calling out for one last hope. His one last chance to beat the odds — not for himself, but the people he mourns.
