Stanley doesn't follow suit, however. [Hey Narrator.]
The Narrator perks his head up, stepping back through the door to look at Stanley. “Yes, Stanley?”
Stanley was crouched down, looking at something in his hand [Not sure if this is the problem, but i found this!] Stanley stands and faces his Narrator, A small, pink-ish in Colour bug sitting in his hands. The Narrator jumped back in a mix of surprise and disgust.
“STANLEY! Put that down right now! That is most certainly the root of our issues. Who knows what that- that thing could be doing to you!” Stanley doesn't listen, (He never does)

Lovebug smut! and this time it isnt so problematic is it is touchy feely, a miracle.

After the Skip Button ending, the Narrator is reset with fragmented memories, a memory wipe in-progress, and a terror of being alone. He makes the excellent life decision to repress as much as possible and get on with business as usual, with the concession of seeing Stanley in-person.

“The Story,” says the Narrator, although he’s still not letting go. “We must get back to it.” His arms don’t seem to be moving.

“Yeah, no,” says Stanley, drawing away a little in his embrace, regarding him critically at the length of his arm.

"Stanley, Stanley promise me you won't leave me like that again alright?" The Narrator was on the brink of tears, it was evident in the way his voice shook and he croaked his words from a dry throat. Stanley stared at the camera with a feeling of dread, he wanted to promise that to his Narrator, promise him he would never leave his side again, but he knew how unpredictable this game was.

    Summary

They shouldn't have made that horrible button. Now all that was left was sand, sand, sand turning into static.
They suffered the consequences of their childish desire to please everyone. They were broken, their game was destroyed, and they had lost the one person they cared so deeply about.
    They had lost Stanley.
What was the point in continuing? Alone and broken? What good would it be? There was no point.
Or so they thought, until they weren't alone anymore. When another broken and hurt soul was thrust into the remains of their game.

The "New Content" truly couldn't have been more boring. While a "Jump Circle" may have a resemblance of fun for a Player, Stanley alone could jump and climb just fine. Truly he had expected more things -paths, choices, and endings. More game.
So he was glad when The Narrator showed him the Memory Zone. Even if it was all about the Game, at least it was new! Stanley couldn't wait to see if there may be a new path here, a new ending.
The Skip Button was unexpected, though Stanley firmly believed that The Narrator must have an ending in mind with it. They made the entire game, after all, so how would they not know what the button brings?

    Summary

Stanley returns to the game with new new content, terrified of how the Narrator will react to his return.
He had abandoned it again, left it after the skip button. He had seen how the Memory Zone had been implemeted in the game, how the Narrator had suffered.
Coming back, he expected a lot of different reactions from the Narrator.
Anger and hatred. Crying and pleading. Shock and relief.
    Anything at all, really.
    And not...
    nothing.
