Summary
Technoblade is an avian who found an elytrian child in the woods being attacked by a spider. After taking the child in he teaches him to fly and tells him about the world. 8 years go by together. Along the way Tommy finds out Techno is an avian, but is sworn to secrecy. Soon after a strange man in a brown trench coat appears demanding Techno return Tommy to his REAL family. Tommy says no and Techno stands by him. But how long can Techno keep Tommy safely by his side. While their meeting was off putting, Techno finds himself enjoying Wilbur's company. Tommy doesn't seem convinced with this and says it's an act. Techno likes the sound of a family.

Summary
Each of them had their own birthday traditions, making birthdays the most important days of the year. They were always big, family affairs. Except Techno’s.
Every year on June 1st, he took the train to the city library and poured over volume after volume. For fun, cause that’s what Techno does for fun. The bright lights and bustle of L’manberg proved to be a good balancing agent against the calm of their little countryside home.
Family can be overbearing at times, and Techno doesn’t need any of that attention or birthday fuss anyways. He just—it’s really not that big of a deal. Especially not his. Tommy—sure, Wilbur—sure, Phil—of course. Techno’s perfectly satisfied with solitude and self indulgence.

Techno’s all bundled up in his sheets. He’s kicked his comforter to the end of his bed; his face is all turned to the side, burrowed into the pillow. Obviously, unlike Tommy, his natural glow isn’t incredible enough to prevent him looking as sick as he probably feels.
“Tech?” Tommy says.
Techno lifts a hand in a weak wave. “Hi,” he says, and wrinkles his nose. “You got me sick.”

Tommy will never forget how he froze and watched the dark green goo Phil coughed up as he fell to the floor before Techno could reach him. The glass shattering from the kitchen followed and the panic as Techno pressed a hand against their fathers neck to check the pulse.

The relief that crashed through the house when it was still there. Like nature itself exhaled in relief.
Or; as a new disease infects the world, Tommy, a plant hybrid, has to find a way to cope with the fact that his family is running out of time and that he will be left alone once it passes.
