Summary
When Techno was five, his parents gave him up to the foster system. He's never heard from them since. Knowing that they didn't mean to forget to come back for him, despite everyone insisting otherwise, he decides to find his way back to them, no matter how long it takes. He's not going to let anything stop him, not even a measly cold and a little rain.
Now, he's ten, and he thinks this time he'll actually make it. He already has the bus ticket and everything!
Unfortunately, he doesn't expect Phil, his foster brother, to follow after him.
It's going to be a long night, that's for sure.

Summary
Technoblade is a member of an extremely social species, recently declared sapient, and suffering physical complications due to loneliness. Philza is a member of a slightly less social species, yet to be declared sentient, and generally suffering.
Unwilling to risk another companion’s death in space and too wary to build a crew, Technoblade has no plans to do anything about his health - until he finds a creature in an animal fighting ring who is definitely not an animal.
Technoblade doesn’t trust other aliens, not when they used him as a gladiator and killed hundreds of his people, but this alien isn’t one of them. He’s in the same situation Techno was, half a decade ago.
