Sheppard had come for him — which was touching, really, absolutely touching, and would have been a whole lot more touching if he wasn’t:
- Bolted down to a Wraith knockoff of an Ancients’ chair;
- Bleeding from a knock to the head, a purplish bruise starting to form;
- Disheveled, and badly roughed up. One of his fingers was bent in such a decisively incorrect position, that even a PhD could diagnose it as broken.
The door had shut after the Wraith had shoved Rodney in here, and he was guessing that Sheppard hadn’t smuggled any secret C4 in with him. They couldn’t be in a worse situation.
Rodney fell back on the only thing he could think to do: criticise.
