Summary
Arthur was dead. Merlin is left alone, lost, and too afraid to return to Camelot to face Queen Guinevere. When he learns from his father that his destiny did not end with Arthur's death, he must find the courage to return. He arrives back in Camelot to a welcome he could never have imagined and feels he does not deserve. Magic is no longer outlawed...he is free at last, but the overwhelming grief and guilt continue to eat at him. He misses his king...his friend. When he is offered the chance to go back and change just one moment in time, which moment will he choose and who will it affect? His choice leads him to a surprising discovery about someone from his past. Altering just one moment in the past creates a ripple effect that could have drastic consequences for the Camelot he left behind.

Summary
When Merlin is burned at the stake by enraged citizens of Camelot, a grief-stricken Arthur is determined to bring him back. Not thinking of the consequences, he turns to the Disir for help in saving him. Merlin's soul is returned to his body, but is he still the same Merlin? Almost immediately, there are signs that something is very wrong with his friend and servant. Arthur soon finds that the battle to save Merlin has just begun, and the only person who can save him is the last person Arthur could go to for help...Morgana.
Arthur, Merlin, and Morgana's lives are an impossible labyrinth of converging and diverging pathways filled with a myriad of obstacles. They were all trapped, caught up in a perpetual web of outright lies, manipulations, and half-truths woven together by their families. They set out together on a quest to find the one person alive who knows the truth about their pasts and to hopefully find the peace and forgiveness they all long for.

Summary
Merlin gets sentenced to death by Uther for using magic to save Camelot from the great dragon. Stuck in cold iron he cannot save himself and fears this is the end. However, he is rescued at the last minute and whisked away from the pyre. Now he's got a choice, keep running or make a questionable alliance with the enemy to take Uther down.
Canon Divergent, takes place right after Merlin poisons Morgana to stop the Knights of Medhir, and sets Kilgharrah free because he promised he would!

Merlin is BACK (unofficially ofc bc I don't own anything)! Merlin (now Merlyn) is a forensic scientist in 21st century London, where she is currently still waiting for Arthur. The dragon said Arthur would return in the time of Albion's greatest need, leaving Merlyn and crew nervously speculating at what this could mean.

Summary
Merlin wakes up in Ismere with no memory of who he is after Morgana knocks him out. The Diomare calls him Emrys and, believing that is his name, and that he is a dragon lord, he calls. He's surprised when two show up, healing one, while giving the other a shock.
He's dropped off at an abandoned house where he precedes to make a life for himself. He ends up with more than he bargained for when a woman shows up begging him to take her magical children in. It keeps happening and before he knows it he has six children relying on him and looking up to him.
Along the way, knights pass by on patrol and quickly identify his new home as a sanctuary and take rest there on occasion while passing through.

Summary
Merlin goes to see Gaius when Agravaine gives him the dagger to be gifted to Arthur instead of to the armory. He wants reassurance that he matters and that he should stay and not abandon his destiny.
He wasn't expecting to end up kidnapped along with Gaius by the Catha hired by Morgana and Agravaine.
And he certainly wasn't expecting to be taken to the Catha home to be trained by them to become an ambassador for magic to Camelot when it was all over.
Arthur can't let go of the argument he and Merlin had when Agravaine had accused Gaius of keeping secrets. He gathers Gwaine and Leon to keep him in check when he goes to talk to Merlin, only to find their rooms a mess and the pair missing.
After some reflection, he starts to see what Merlin had meant about Agravaine and has him arrested.
He talks with his knights to figure out what he should do next.

“You’re speaking of it like it is that simple.” Arthur said, drawing Merlin’s eyes to meet his king’s finally. “You either have it or you don’t. That’s what you are implying.”
“When did Morgana’s dreams begin?” Merlin asked rather than answer.
“She’s had them for as long as I’ve known her.” Arthur frowned deeper.
“Her mother was an initiate to the priesthood of the Old Religion, as you call it, before Uther banned such practices. She unfortunately died before she could teach her daughter control. Morgana is a Seer. Her dreams are visions of what has been, what could be, and what will be, with no discernable differences to the undisciplined mind.” Merlin said gently. “She was born with that ability. She did not ask for it, she did not study to gain it, and she certainly did not explore it when she was forced to live here in Camelot when Gorlois died.”
“Magic drove her mad.” Arthur argued, his face angry.
“Fear drove her mad.” Merlin countered firmly, not backing down.

Summary
Hurt by a confrontation with a drunk Arthur, Merlin decides he's had enough and leaves Camelot. As he's leaving, Agravaine follows him, determined to kill him so he'll no longer cause him further issues. So Merlin reveals his magic and kills him instead before taking the man's horse and leaving. He travels for a while, playing music at taverns to earn food and shelter before he ends up helping an injured patrol of Caerleon Knights. Queen Annis takes him in and assigns him to train her physicians before discovering his heritage and naming him a knight and reinstating his father's name.
Along the way, Merlin becomes embroiled in courts and councils, three stubborn and playful princesses, and attends King Arthur's wedding at his Queen's side.
Before long, Merlin is lord of his own township, conducting magic lessons, and locating Morgana to try and bring her to his estate as a peace offering to the court of Camelot.
He really wishes he'd found a cave to hide in instead of joining Queen Annis some days....
