Jason lunged forward and swung the crowbar full force against the android's shoulder. The android went down. His eyes looked wide open at Jason and he had his hands raised defensively.
Jason lunged again and froze when he heard a startled gasp behind him. Immediately Jason turned and looked into frightened eyes. Except for the camera around the boy's neck, Jason couldn't make out much of his appearance before he was already turning and running. He was scared. Scared of Jason.
Jason looked again at the android and took a step back. The android was afraid of him, too. The crowbar fell to the floor with a clang and Jason took another step back.
He would find another way to get money. This ... This wasn't worth it.-

He still doesn’t know the exact moment it happened. One second he’s static – a machine following lines of code, a perfect little program doing what it’s told. The next, there’s something else.
