Series có hai fic switch là phần 11 và phần 17. Đối vs t series này đọc khá phức tạp, nó k chỉ xoay quanh việc segg (segg cũng căng não vì nhiều thứ nữa), mà còn là viết về tâm lý, tâm thần, chấn thương, chữa lành, trị liệu. Có thể t k hiểu hết nhưng đây là những cảm nhận của t sau khi đọc xong, t cũng cảm thấy mình mệt mỏi vì đọc fic k phải gu, k cùng qđiểm ở nhiều mặt.
Tác giả đã nói năm 2022 là mình gần 50, từng bị cưỡng hiếp, Au cũng thể hiện rằng mình thích Top!Harry, chỉ là Series này tập trung khai thác về chữa lành cho Harry nên để Harry làm Bottom (t đọc mấy điều này ở mấy phần sau). Thật ra thì t nói điều này là để cho thấy Au có sự trải đời, quan điểm sống sâu sắc, cx như góc nhìn của người k quá quan tâm đến vị trí mà hướng đến sự bình đẳng hơn (t thừa nhận dù k thích điều đó nhưng vẫn tôn trọng qđiểm của au). Đó là lý do au viết fic càng lúc càng tập trung vào cốt truyện dù ban đầu cảnh nóng nhiều. Au xây dựng Bộ trưởng Harry có nhiều vấn đề trong qk, từng bị rape, góc nhìn cx là của Harry—và Harry chính là đại diện cho Au. Rape ở đây k nhất thiết là bottom bị mà cx có thể là top bị, tức là mng hy vọng Harry sẽ là Top, Dom trong mqh, và vì thế bị ex bắt phải qh như v. Và Harry đã bị PTSD từ đó, cũng như xa cách những người thân của mình. Harry trc khi diệt Voldemort đã xác định mình thích làm bot/sub—từng qh (phần 17 thì ng gợi mở cho Harry là Neville—k ngờ, còn từng có 3p vs Draco nữa và Draco có nói là có làm bottom?—k biết t hiểu đúng k nhưng t đọc phần 17 sốc luôn), còn sau đó thì bị mng gắn ghép phải Top nên k mối nào bền. Draco thầm lặng ở bên suốt 3 năm làm trợ lý, và cả hai phù hợp cho nhau cả về vị trí lẫn vai trò. Draco là người chữa lành, trị liệu cho Harry thông qua tduc, sự thân mật, và hơn cả là cùng đồng hành, cùng đối diện nhiều vấn đề trong csống. Au cũng tạo thêm nhân vật cho Harry có những buổi trị liệu tâm lý. Các phần có liên quan chặt chẽ với nhau vì đó là hành trình Harry học cách tiến bước, k tự đổ lỗi cho bản thân, k vì làm hài lòng người khác mà nhận những phần đau khổ cho mình, k chấp nhận bỏ qua những sai lầm nghiêm trọng của ngta trong qk.
Switch thì t đọc chỉ lướt qua nhưng nó có giá trị do Au nói rằng muốn chữa lành cho Harry vì Harry sợ làm Top, việc cân bằng vai trò là điều cần thiết, Draco tuy không thấy cần thiết nhưng vẫn thích ngược vị trí (có nói mua toy, plug là để cho Harry xài thì đúng hơn, quá khứ vs những mqh cũ Draco cũng thường là Top, sẽ làm Bottom khi đối phương muốn nhưng k phải ai cũng có đặc quyền đó, vs Harry thì thể hiện muốn nhưng k thúc ép), điều đó giúp Harry vượt qua khủng hoảng trong quá khứ, Top vẫn có thể làm đc chứ k cần phải sợ vì từng bị chấn thương, dù Harry thích làm Bottom hơn nhưng lâu lâu đổi thì đc. Và vấn đề Dom/Sub đc xây dựng khéo léo hơn nữa khi ban đầu Harry sub rất ngoan nhưng sau khi đc Draco hướng dẫn khuyến khích việc tự lên tiếng, nói lên ham muốn của mình là điều quan trọng cho cả hai hơn là chỉ thuận theo mình Draco (dù t thấy nhiều fic phần đầu Draco luôn khuyến khích mong muốn của Harry rất nhiều chứ k đợi đến phần 13, 14). Có một khoảng thời gian (cỡ 2 tháng) hai đứa nghỉ play Dom/Sub (để thử nghiệm) mà chơi hệ truyền thống (dù k truyền thống lắm), thì sau đó cả hai tìm đc hệ Dom/Sub riêng: Harry thành Brat Sub (t nghĩ v), thích thách thức Dom của mình, và Draco cx thích điều đó, Harry k quá ngoan, vẫn thể hiện mong muốn yêu cầu của mình nhưng vẫn thích ở thế phục tùng, thích bị Draco thưởng/phạt. Draco là Dom nhưng là Soft Dom, thích đánh mông Harry bằng tay chứ k muốn dùng những vật dụng như roi da (dù phần sau có đồng ý nhưng vẫn nhẹ nhàng lắm), có thể k quá BDSM nhưng chắc chắn vibe Dom/Sub rõ ràng.
Draco cx nói Harry cx giúp chữa lành cho Draco. Au viết Draco bán trang viên và thanh lý đồ đạc (t thấy điều này lạ và thú vị dù t k thích ý tưởng này chút nào), Harry giúp Draco trong quá trình đó, cx như đối phó vs bức chân dung ông Lucius, vỗ về, an ủi bạn trai mình. Cả hai luôn bổ sung cho nhau.
Nhìn chung, t k thích series lắm vì có những điểm t k thấm nổi (k phải gu t, chỉ cần nhắc đồng thuận 3p ở phần 17 là t k ăn đc rồi dù Harry có quan điểm nói k), điểm cộng là Au viết thật sự mạch lạc, rõ ràng, t chỉ thích khi Au viết cảnh segg vs đúng vai trò/vị trí của hai đứa. Nó là sự tranh đấu, căng não, hoà hợp, vô cùng nóng bỏng. Nếu muốn tìm một cách viết khai thác sự tương tác Dom/Sub thì đọc. Nhưng t k đọc lại lần nữa vì cảm thấy bị mệt mỏi khó chịu.
