    He didn't hang up the gaydar when he joined the seminary, you know. In a parish like his, he still gets plenty of use from it. He sees a lot. Like right now: he sees the shadows of exhaustion on Buck and Eddie's faces, and the way they lean into each other, and how Eddie hasn't taken his hand off of Buck since he was in touching distance. Not once. And Brian sees how, despite the exhaustion and the unhappy occasion - and despite the loss of the really very handsome moustache - something in Eddie's face seems calmer and more settled now than it was five months ago.
