Ghost isn’t so far gone to put his face on the toilet seat, but at this point, he can admit he’s cuttin’ it fuckin’ close.
He spits out another mouthful of bile-yellow gunk, his ragged breaths filling the crawl space the military calls a bathroom, and collapses bodily against the wall. He slings his arms over his knees, still stinging from the harsh landing on the floor, and lets his mouth hang loose; breath smelling rank even to himself. He sighs and digs his head back into the cold tiles.
It’s getting worse.

Shouta tilted his head back, eyes falling shut, and let himself enjoy the breeze. It was always so much stronger this high up, trying to tease his feet out from under him with every step, his hair whipping around him as if he’d activated his quirk. A single misstep and he’d be lost to free fall…
He let out a low sigh, watching the smoke catch and drift away on the wind to waft up towards the light-polluted sky. It might be the only part of living in the city he actually liked; being able to fly across buildings, far above anyone else.
Alone in a city of many, hidden from a world that had forgotten to look up.

Only when Ghost was blessedly shielded by shadows did he dare turn around, knife in hand, to greet the beast.
His breath caught unwillingly in his throat.

Ghost had always known that the Na’vi were big. It was perhaps the greatest point of intrigue for their species to those who knew little more than side-by-side comparisons. The Na’vi were massive in theory…but it was an entirely different topic to tackle when one was staring directly at where Ghost lay in hiding.

Ghost came to Pandora to die amongst unseen stars. He didn't care for his Avatar body - the body Tommy was meant to pilot before he died - he just wanted rest.
Unfortunately, after his transport crashes on the surface of Pandora leaving him stranded, he's forced into wars he swore off when he left active combat. The Na'vi are brutal, but they are not unkind as they pick up the broken pieces of him and remind Ghost...His heart is warm so long as it is beating.

Ghost wakes up in a pit under a building with a bomb attached to him, certain he's going to die. Soap, an EOD tech amongst his other specialties, is the only person available to at least try to save him. It should be fraught, and tense, and miserable all around, and it is; a whole lot of Ghost slowly losing his mind while Soap does everything he can to save his life. But it would probably be easier if Ghost wasn't a stress-flirter, and if Soap wasn't the kind of endlessly competent that he loved, and if, by virtue of their situation, they didn't keep ripping open each other's wounds and then patching each other back up again after.
