Next to Wilbur’s elbow, one of the candle flames started to grow in size and stretch, almost curiously, towards him. Tommy’s eyes widened and he snapped his fingers together. Like a chastened pet, the fire shrunk back to a manageable size
“Maybe I should put those out,” Tommy said quickly. “It’s windy.”
Outside, the air was heavy and the leaves in the trees hung listlessly.
Tommy is busy trying to save the city, and Wilbur is just trying to figure out what’s going on and why Tommy keeps giving him crystals and using all the salt to make protection runes around the house.

Summary
Logstedshire was a quaint little village caught between the sea and a rather dense forest. It had a grand total of three hundred inhabitants and its economy was supported mostly by the primary sector, with farming and fishing at the forefront.
The village didn’t commerce much with its neighbors as they could only leave through the water, and things could get dangerous beyond the coral reef. The weather there was unpredictable and more than one vessel had sunk throughout the years because some greedy businessman did not believe in the power of Mother Nature.
Attempts at leaving through the forest never ended any better. The few survivors recounted tales of trees with eyes staring at them in horror, and mouths frozen on a scream. And abounding were the stories of a masked creature haunting them through their every waking moment well after they’d left the confines of the threes. The infamy of those stories was only increased by the rumor that every survivor was found dead from a heart attack within three months after leaving the forest.
So, knowing all of that, Wilbur really did not understand why his father and said father’s best friend were so intent on annexing the village to the Antarctic Empire.

“We don’t murder children.” the assassin scoffed.
“Great.” Tommy managed to say, slumping in relief despite himself. “That’s… that’s great.”
"We’re not murdering you.” the man said, and turned to him, weirdly cheerfully. “But we are kidnapping you.”

Tommy, the illegitimate half-brother of King Dream of Empesi, has spent the last six years hidden away in the countryside, bored out of his mind. In all those times he had longed for adventure though, he hadn’t meant he wanted a pair of Resistance assassins to show up and try to murder him over a document he can’t even read. Next thing Tommy knows, he’s waking up in the freaking Antarctic Emperor’s palace as a political hostage, and grudgingly getting to know a royal family whose magic is strangely reminiscent of his own.

Summary
There were no dates on the grave markers, only three names carved into the stone. But you could tell that it was old, the material pitted and pock-marked with age, one of the names on the grave deteriorated entirely.
Phil, Wilbur, and something starting with a T which Tommy thought was pretty cool, personally.
Tommy bit his lip, his fingers brushing over the angel's head with a quiet thanks. Somehow, the cemetery had always helped him, in one way or another. Maybe he'd leave flowers for the Watsons at some point, after this.
But then he heard a footstep behind him, muffled by grass and dirt, and froze.
"Found you," said Dream.

He hardly realizes when Techno pulls away, his fangs retracting from his skin as the vampire wipes away the blood that had spilled from the two pin pricks, putting a small amount of pressure on the wounds.
Tommy just lets himself topple forwards, wanting to be closer to Techno, to anyone, really— the vampire catches him in his arms with a grunt. He holds him close, burying his face in his hair, a small rumbling starting up in his chest.
“You’re going to be the sweetest fledging ever, aren’t you?” Techno whispers into his hair, wrapping an arm around his waist to keep him close to his side, “I can’t wait for you to become mine,” He says, declares, tightening his hold on him.
Or Tommy asks vampire Techno to bite him.

Summary
It was summer when the two began considering how they could help their city.
Ranboo’s ability was teleportation, though it was limited to how much he could do it, and Tommy could heal, although he mainly used his wings for his vigilante work.
They worked together to better the city, to better their home.
Below a hero and a villain a city rot from the inside out. Death ate away at those that lived there as fungus devoured a fallen vigilante.

Summary
And he falls.
Tommy screeches, Crow caws in panic and Tommy gets an eyeful of the ground as he plummets towards it. Tommy throws his arms in front of him out of instinct which would cause him to break an arm.
But the wind whipping around him stops. Everything stops. And waits with bated breath as confused Tommy opens his eyes
He sees the ground, the grass is green under him but he's not touching it. He didn't even land. He's…. Floating.
Tommy gasps as he moved his arms away from his face and stretches them out like a star. He's hovering just a few inches from the ground. He feels so light and he feels soft kisses of wind fluttering around him.
Is this magic? Is he using magic? Tommy smiles which turns into giggles as he wiggles himself, wobbling in the air.
But something snaps and he falls the rest of the way. He oomphs as he lands face first in grass and dirt but it doesn't ruin his mood as he gets up, brushing dirt off his trousers with a big smile on his face.

“Essempi and the Antarctic Empire have declared war on eachother and us.”
A beat of silence, before the king speaks up again, voice not revealing any bit of his intents. “Tough times stand before us, followed by bloodshed and betrayals.”
Schlatt looks at him again, his eyes seemingly boring into his soul, while Tommy is still processing what exactly this means. “We need you, Theseus. We need our royal mage back. At 100%.”
Or: a mage Tommy au, where he has to deal with the aftermath of a traumatic tragedy, while fighting a war at hand and somehow pleasing the country. What could go wrong?
