Sadly, the universe is not on the lovers’ side.

Two Time’s eyes flutter open, squinting as they adjust to the dim light of the bedroom. Sitting up, they rub their eyes. Everything seems normal. They just can’t shake the strange feeling that something’s… off. On shaky legs, they get up from the soft bed, tail swishing cautiously behind them as they walk over to the living room of their small apartment. That’s when they see him.
Azure. Their beloved partner. They had killed him, stabbed him through the chest as a sacrifice, felt his chest cave in as they pushed the dagger through his skin. Two Time lets out a shaky breath, their knees feeling weak as they watch their partner breathing, sitting at the sleek oakwood table reading as if nothing’s wrong. In a shaky voice, they call out,
“Azure?…”
When Two Time wakes up to find Azure alive, they wonder if they’ve been blessed, or if it’s even real…

Theres no way their parents thought their child was so lonely— they dont even know hes here anyways! Rules them out
