Summary
An epic alternative ending to the fifth season of Steven Universe, where Peridot is the protagonist. It takes place right after "Escapism", and barring the first few minutes, this story completely supplants "Change Your Mind". Needless to say, the SU movie and Season 6 in general will be disregarded in future installments to this continuity.
Also affectionately known as the "Bad Ending AU" (at least compared to CYM; by itself, it ends on a relatively happy note). Unlike CYM, there will be major character deaths that are permanent fixtures; not everything will be solved with pure pacifism and not every antagonist will be redeemable. Naturally, several characters undergo development that didn't happen in canon; Homeworld society is greatly expanded on using my headcanon, and there are original fusions that SU canon will inevitably debunk in the future.
Just know this story defies Status Quo is God in more ways you'll anticipate.
